Is it currently the best major junior league in Canada?
No.
It's obviously the WHL.
I don't care if they won.
It's always gonna be the Dub.
The Dub's the hardest to play in.
That's why all the, when the imports come over, they all go to the Q.
They, they all avoid the Dub.
But I'm gonna say the O.
Like, there's just so many power o- houses.
You know, Kitchener is one of them, but let's not forget the London Knights, the Oshawa Generals, you know, the Kingston Frontenacs.
You know, the, there's a lot of big, powerful clubs out there spending a lot of money making sure their guys develop.
But, yeah, I'll, I'll take you on, Devin.
O- O is better than the Dub.
I got no argument.
I'm just, that's, I'll never change.
I'll never change.
I'll, I'll be the other guy.
I'm here in the Q- Q area.
But going into, like, last year, they had won four of the last six, so we'll, let's broaden the, zoom out.
Zoom out.
When in doubt, zoom out.
And, I think the Q does a pretty good job.
And one thing I gotta ask, though, Michael, when you name those, those, those teams, the franchises, it feels to me like it's a lot of the same teams a lot.
have a lot of the bottom teams gone up?
You talk about the money, yeah, but it's supposed to be junior hockey.
Like, you sell at the deadline.
That's one thing that I haven't liked about junior hockey lately, is that the first round is atrocious.
We've seen more sweeps than ever across all of junior hockey, 'cause by the time Christmas is over, every single good player on your team, if you're not above .500, is gone.
I mean, what do you think about that, at the recycling of, of the good players, bad players?
I notice in the Q, it's pretty good.
Like, if you're a bad team, in four years you're gonna be in contention.
Yeah, I don't know.
I, I haven't looked too far into it.
Like, obviously money plays a part.
And, you know, let's not discount there's a lot of really well-run organizations there.
And, you know, like Vegas in the NHL, like, a lot of these teams, they just get used to winning, and they're just gonna keep They, they don't wanna go through this four-year cycle that you're talking about, Andrew.
A four-month cycle is enough for them.
