Did you have to talk to your guys to kind of settle them in?

You know, I was with the, I left that up to Daves.

I think he did a good job.

No, we were, that's always gonna get heated.

Thought the g- both teams, conducted themselves the way they needed to.

I think there was a lot of great tape to watch, but it was a productive day.

How'd you think things went overall, and how'd you kinda divide your time?

I was with the defense the entire time.

We'll see what the offense looked like.

Curto went, went pretty well.

And, there's a, like I said, a lot of great things to look at.

Felt like there was a lot of back and forth in terms of some good, some bad, but, definitely things that we can learn from.

You're familiar with, with pass rush, and you left behind here, get into a ton of, of moves.

Seemed like they were in your backfield a lot.

I, I know Matthew combined on stuff you didn't see.

Yeah.

Seemed like you guys took a lot of pass rush from them offensively.

Now, if you go back and m- match the pace, like, where, where do you go from there?

You just continue to try to find ways to get better, and, and we'll see the tape, and we'll see whether it was a timing issue with the, receivers, quarterback, or whether it was a one-on-one issue with the O-line.

But, until I see the tape, I won't be able to give you a- Looking at the in- the right answer.

Sorry.

Looking at the interior part of the line, we saw Carmona get some early reps at the end, after doing so on Sunday.

Is that just- Yeah, we- earned that, or is it still in the, the rotation?

It's, it's all the way.

He's, he's gotta earn it to be able to get in there.

He's been doing a nice job.

But, like I said, with that right guard spot, we're gonna keep working to try to find the, best player for it.

And then Slater's in that mix as well.

Yeah.

But he's taking some snaps at, at, at center, and Andre Jennings slipped in.

Yeah, there's a lot of moving parts.

We're trying to, we're trying to find the right combination for that O-line.

You know, feel good about the, the first unit.

That right guard's gotta get solidified.

But, but overall just a lot of guys are gonna get opportunities at that.

How do you come out of this from feeling about your secondary?

It seemed like they got behind you guys a couple of times there.

Just what were you seeing on those plays?

There's a couple, you know, a- and again, we're gonna see whether it was a technique issue or not, but, you know, overall just feeling it, you know?

It, our, th- this offense we went against today is one of the top five offenses in football, so there's a lot of back and forth, and which was encouraging.

You're not gonna win every one-on-one, but, but at the same time, there's, there's definitely things that we can learn.

Got a little thinner at tackle.

I g- I guess Dekulus went off and then Moore went off, I guess for two different reasons.

They, they got kicked out of practice.

Okay.

Yeah.

With how last year ended, what was it like to see Fred back out there and healthy?

Oh, man.

He's a, he's like a creative player.

I'm, mad.

He's a special person, special player.

It's good to see him out there.

What was it like just being back here and, and with everything that last year provided you to get this gig?

Yeah, it was, it was awesome.

You know, like, this organization, it's a, it's a championship organization, does things the right way, and, you know, I've, I've been fortunate enough to be able to spend five y- five years, albeit in two different, times, but, very fortunate to have been a part of this organization.

Injury front, were you, with JFM, who was the other one we were talking about?

Um- Jake- Martin go off, Flott go off.

Yeah, Jake Martin we're gonna get, we're gonna get looked at, for a knee.

Flott had a, we just held him out, but more precaution than anything.

He had a, a bruise.

JFM we're hopeful to get back next week.

What'd you see from DBO out there?

He was gone for a year- Yeah but he looks like he's- Doing the same stuff he always does.

I mean, he's still a, a very dense human being, very hard tackle.

It's, I, I told him that I'm, I'm glad he came back 'cause this, you know, Kyle and his staff are, they're unique in, in the sense that they can, they can maximize who he is and all the different things he's capable of.

And, and DBO will be DBO.

He looks very normal.

And after, after watching Brock last year with the toe injury, does he look like himself again?

He looks the same to me.

I mean, layers the ball just as good as anybody in football.

Elite processing ability and, and very accurate.

Any thoughts on Stribling and what he might be able to give their offense they didn't have last year?

You know, for those rookies, you know, yeah, I guess you just have to see it, you know?

I have, you know, you, obviously the, the offensive staff here has a bunch of, at San Francisco, has a bunch of, pelts on the wall with, with, success and, you know, they're, I can, I can assure you, whatever he's got in him, they'll find it.

How about Jackie Mosh?

So he wants to practice with Kyle back there.

Sit, sit, we- Jackie Mosh.

Jackie, I wanna say I'm ho- I think we're hopeful for next week.

If not, for sure the week after.

What does he got?

He's dealing with an oblique.

What, what do you, what's your plan, I guess, for Thursday night?

Do, do you want everybody to play, or just kinda that to be determined?

Everyone's playing.

What, how much will you want to, and can you look at the tape out of today and expect, like, immediate corrections to the things that, that failed today?

There, there, there, you know, like I said, this, this offense, you know, Kyle and his staff, they know every single flaw to our, or every weakness to our s- our scheme.

They've been going against it for the last 10 years, so it was really good to get a lot of the route concepts that we need to help teach the principles of our defense, and it'll start making sense to our guys hopefully, and, and in terms of how it evolved and how we got to where we are, from a teaching standpoint.

And, so you know, any time you get exposed to, tape and, and new systems and new bodies that you're going against, which is why I value these, intra-squad, joint practices so much, it's, you're gonna learn something from it, rather than the redundancy of playing against your own team versus the same schemes over and over again.

So, th- these, these days to me are gold if you can handle it the right way, and, and I think our guys did.

Will you play all four quarterbacks, or is that asking a little much?

That's the plan, but, but not, not a guarantee.

Do you know how much?

Guys play a series or two, or it just kinda depends on how the first series goes?

The, the plan, I don't wanna put a number on it, but it is gonna be, it's not just a series.

It seems like you're just watching back there with Kyle.

You're watching for a little bit, and then side by side with him.

What's it like watching the practice with him?

Yeah, I was, uh- From that side it was always good to pick his brain.

You know, like, looking forward to talking to him tonight after we both watch the tape, just to see what he sees and, you know, just, he's, he's always been, I almost wanna say a mentor in that, in that regard.

Like, he's an elite teacher, and, you know, I'll, I'll, all ears when we start talking
