What role will Boutte play in Houston?

Patrick Daugherty and Denny Carter wonder if Kayshon Boutte can find fantasy relevance as the Texans' likely No. 2 WR behind Nico Collins.

Video Transcript

Keshon Booty was a bit of an unheralded player for the 2025 AFC Champion New England Patriots, Denny Carter, but all offseason he seemed like the odd man out after they traded for AJ Brown, signed Romeo Dobbs.

Trade chatter had been swirling for weeks.

It came to fruition earlier this week.

Keshon Booty traded the receiver desperate Houston Texans.

Denny, it looks like he's sliding and is probably the immediate number two behind Nico Collins.

Keshon Booty has always just been a role player in real life, role player in fantasies, had trouble, attaining 12-team league relevance.

What is realistic in Houston, where again, he appears to be the number two behind Nico Collins?

Yeah, I mean, Jaden Higgins goes down with a season-ending knee injury last week for Houston, so this was sort of a natural fit, and I think Keshon Booty comes in, and he's probably better than Higgins, as a boundary receiver.

C.J.

Stroud not a great downfield thrower, but Keshon Booty really efficient as a downfield pass catcher.

That might have something to do with playing, with Drake May, of course.

I, I do think that he can be drafted in 12-team leagues as a high variance week-to-week option.

Nico Collins obviously remains the unquestioned wide receiver one here.

It's possible Keshon Booty's biggest fantasy impact is not for himself, but maybe what he does for Nico Collins.

Clears space for Nico Collins, keeps the defenses honest, because after Jaden Higgins went down, they were gonna have trouble keeping defenses honest, with him on the shelf.
