Something that stuck out the other day to me was when they took out Ronaldo, and I heard a lot of people say that the coach from Portugal should've been doing this a long time ago.

And boy, the onions it took for him to do that, and they get the win.

Was it the right move in your opinion, Michelle, them pulling Ronaldo out like that and substituting him?

Well, they substituted him and they scored just a few minutes later after he left.

I mean, there had been people saying And look, this World Cup so far, the stars have really stepped up except for him.

But, you know, you look at the, you look at the Golden Boot race right now, and Messi at 39 years old, let Can we even just forget about it?

This guy's unbelievable.

But he's in first place right now.

Kylian Mbappe, Harry Kane, you know, all these guys, Haaland, these are the best players.

These are the best players, in the world, and they're all stepping up in this World Cup, which usually doesn't happen.

A lot of times, you know, some new players come along and become stars, and the stars of the tournament sometimes don't have great tournaments.

In this World Cup, every, all the superstars, the really big superstars have all stepped up except Ronaldo.

Ronaldo has not been as in form as the other top players that you see on the list of the Golden Boot.

And yeah, there were a lot of people who felt, you know, he's 41, and that he, that the team was better without him.

Before the World Cup started, there were people saying that the team, Portugal team is better without Ronaldo on the field.

And, you know, Portugal so far, even though they have advanced, and obviously things can change.

This tournament, as we saw last night, anything can happen.

But up until that point, Portugal had probably been the biggest disappointment in this World Cup.

Portugal and Uruguay, just not living up to the expectations.

Portugal was expected to be a contender to win the title.

Portugal, Norway, and Morocco were sort of the three, you know, non-favorite favorites that had a chance that everybody was talking about.

A lot of people were talking about Portugal as a serious contender.

And up until this last game, they looked very shaky, and a lot of people felt that Ronaldo was kind of taking up a space on the field and just couldn't run and couldn't do what he used to do.

They take him out and they score right away, and they end up winning.

But in my opinion, they won on a very bad call against Croatia.

I mean, I think that game should've played out.

When that goal was scored by Croatia, to me that was a goal.

I've watched it 83 different angles.

that goal should've been a goal.

It would've been two to two, and let them play it out.

Let them play that game out and see what happens.

But they kinda took that opportunity away from Croatia, so I'm just, I'm not, you know I, I think Portugal has not done much to be proud of so far.
