When you are a Masters champion, you get that air of respect, which means, "Yeah, I'm gonna be the returning champion.
I get my champion's dinner.
Let me see how I'm gonna start this tournament.
Oh, by the way, I'm in first place."
They asked him, "What are you gonna do now you're in first place after round number one?"
Quote, "I'll probably go up there in the champions' locker room right now, have a little drink, put my green jacket on, and call it a day."
That's how you handle business as a champion, Joe.
Yeah, listen, I mean, it's There is a demeanor about him now, watching him play yesterday, and a calmness, Donny, that I, I mean, this guy has got the, it, all the weight of the world is off his shoulders.
And the big question was whether or not he was gonna care enough when push came to shove and actually go out there and, and not Yeah, I mean, he was just having such a great time leading up to this week because, you know, he's champion, something that's eluded him forever.
But instead what we got yesterday should terrify just about everybody else in the field because you have a very calm Rory McIlroy laughing it up, yukking it up, having a good time, and shooting 67, and didn't play his best game, Donny.
That's terrifying for everybody else here at Augusta.
