Russell cruises to meet record in 100m hurdles
Olympic champion Masai Russell made short work of the women's 100m hurdles at the Prefontaine Classic, keeping Devynne Charlton in her wake as she cruised to a meet record and the win.

As she gets older, she is now starting to lean into her success and her accomplishments.
She would kind of shy away from it a little bit and say, "Look, I don't want the spotlight on me, just let me go and race."
But she said she's almost done a 180 on that, and she's now, like, leaning into that and acknowledging that and embracing it and enjoying it.
Does that make sense?
Absolutely.
Listen, this is somebody who never won an NCAA title when she was in college.
She's had all her success since she left the University of Kentucky.
She also said she took great inspiration from Jacoby Thorpe's world record at the NCAAs.
Here is the world record holder, 12.12, as I said, set in the semifinals of the 2022 World Championships.
She has the two fastest times in history under all conditions, but she came back at that World Championships and ran 12.0, wind-aided, in the final.
And here's the woman who dominates indoors, the three-time world champion, Devon Charlton of the Bahamas.
She also has the world record in that event, and she is going to make sure that everybody's gonna be honest at those first two or three hurdles.
She's a phenomenal starter, which is why she has those three indoor world titles.
This is a phenomenal field.
