Seattle Mariners Make Multiple Roster Moves on Sept. 1 Expansion Day
We knew that the M's were bringing up slugger Lazaro Montes, but the other roster moves came as a surprise.

Look at it this way.
Taylor Ward is a free agent at the end of the year.
The Mariners do not know- do not owe him anything.
Victor Robles is a free agent at the end of the year.
The Mariners do not owe him anything either when it comes to playing time.
Not anymore.
The only thing they owe these guys is money.
So while they're in it, in it in quotes, I think you'll see Taylor Ward play against lefties and Lasmontis play against righties, and if they become totally out of it, which could happen as early as two or three days from now, if they become totally out of it, then I think you will see Lasmontis play every day.
And I think a lot of us will be excited to see him play every day at that point.
But for now, I think he'll play against righties.
I think Taylor Ward will play against lefties.
But again, that whole thing could change.
It's been a tough season.
It's been a tough week.
It's been a tough day here as I record this very late on Monday night into Tuesday morning.
It's been a tough existence for all of us as Mariners fans.
It's frustrating
