Seth Jones Scores, Florida Panthers Beat Host LA KIngs

Florida Panthers defenseman Seth Jones talks after scoring in his team's 2-1 win over the Los Angeles Kings on Tuesday, Oct. 6, 2026. The Panthers (2-0-2) play their home opener on Saturday against the Minnesota Wild. Florida, which already lost captain Sasha Barkov to injury, appear to have lost Brad Marchand as well after he was helped off the ice in the second period. He went down and was clutching his left knee. The Panthers trailed 1-0 in the first but tied the score in the second on a goal from Seth Jones. Matthew Tkachuk gave Florida its first regulation lead of the season in the third. Jacob Markstrom got another win and is 2-0-1 thus far.
