Sharks Prospect Signs ECHL Deal After Terminating KHL Contract

When San Jose Sharks prospect Yaroslav Korostelyov terminated his contract with SKA St. Petersburg last month, the expectation was that he was going to make the jump to North America for the 2026-27 season. That's exactly what happened, but maybe not in the way some expected. Rather than signing an entry-level contract with the Sharks, the 21-year-old netminder has signed a standard player contract with their ECHL affiliate, the Wichita Thunder.
