All right, let's get to the, fourth best quarterback here, in the NFL according to Chris Simms of People.

Keep in mind, stop yelling at him.

He projects a little bit, okay?

Yeah, yeah.

Well, and, and, and listen, two, three, and four is, is really tight this year.

It really is.

Yeah.

I mean, it's And they've all had little injury issues too.

But my number four quarterback, as we said here, and you've seen my top four, all right?

So yeah, it's the same top four guys as the last two years, and- Right and they are still on the Mount Rushmore.

They're the best quarterbacks in the sport.

The, I, I, I, I have no problem saying that.

Yeah, there's some th- to me, it's the first year we're gonna go into though where I go there's some threats.

There's some threats to where the top four might get supplanted, and we'll see where it goes.

But number four coming in this year is going to be Patrick Mahomes.

I mean- Wow.

Yeah.

Well, listen, the injury certainly plays into that.

I, I don't expect Patrick Mahomes to be totally 100% himself when he starts the year next year.

So I think that's what kind of m- made it be number four.

But let me just say this.

Going back and watching Patrick Mahomes last year- Mm-hmm wow, did he still play really damn good.

Really damn good.

The, the first thing that jumped out to me more than anything watching back the film from last year is holy, I said, "Holy shit, is anybody ever open?"

I, I mean, I'm telling you, I would go through games and go, "Oh, here's 10 plays in a row.

Nobody's open."

Right.

N- nothing.

Mahomes made a ton of great throws, a ton of great decisions, and Mahomes and his ability, again, like you hear me say and I put a lot of value into this, is yeah, I wanna see you be a machine and, and be that, you know, surgical kinda quarterback, but when nothing's there, what are you going to do?

And Mahomes is still, w- that to me is what just jumps, you know, through the screen.

How many plays, doesn't matter what the game is, where I start, I watch the play, I rewind it, I go, "Wait.

All right, what's the concept?

What should he be looking Damn, nobody's open."

And then he's sitting back there, "Wait, nobody's open," and then he moves around and makes some crazy throw, and you go, "Holy crap, they got 15 yards," and I'm telling you, they should've got zero.

You know?

How many plays he makes where they don't pass protect all that well either, and then he still makes a quick throw somewhere or makes the guy miss and then makes a big throw down the field.

Doing all that with I don't think the greatest supporting cast in the world and no running game and not the greatest pass protection.

So yeah, some of the stats don't look all that great, but I'm here to tell you that his play on the field is better than quarterback rating and some of the stats you saw last year from Patrick Mahomes.

how much is the addition of Kenneth Walker gonna help Patrick Mahomes?

And, and really, you know, not, y- now that I'm thinking about it, it's not just Kenneth Walker.

There's a change in offensive coordinator with Eric Bieniemy- Exactly who is now back with Kansas City.

So how much will those two things 'Cause we all know Mahomes could be the best quarterback in the NFL.

You have him at number four, but he could easily be number one next year.

I think Walker's gonna help a lot.

I think Bieniemy's gonna help more.

What do you think?

I, I think so too.

I, I, I mean- Yeah I know that straight from Mahomes' mouth what he thinks of Eric Bieniemy and what he does for their football team.

I also am interested to see if, yes, they take a different approach.

A little bit of a reinventing themselves.

You know, that's another thing that when you watch the film, again, they've been good for so long that you st- everybody has studied them, everybody's stolen their plays, and they don't catch anybody s- by surprise anymore.

And, and again, watching it back you just go, "Hey, this, this team are all over some of their concepts."

It's like they know what's going on.

And so where I'm excited is will They got a pretty good o-line it feels like now.

You know, if they can stay healthy, are they gonna run the ball more?

Did Eric Bieniemy steal a few things from Ben Johnson and his offense, are they gonna infuse that?

I'm, I'm very excited to see that.

I mean, I know it's still gonna be Mahomes shotgun and they're gonna throw the ball a lot, but I would hope there's a few little different angles in how they attack, especially, you know, run game and maybe some play action game off of that.

it is funny, just, just a quick si- aside here, Chris- Yeah that the Super Bowl MVP was so valuable, Super Bowl MVP so valuable that Seattle said, "Hey, go to Kansas City."

I mean, it just speaks volumes about that position, where it's so interchangeable that teams feel like they can win with just about anyone.

Yeah.

Good teams.

Yeah.

Right.

I mean, I think teams are, are starting to sway or change a little bit that way, 'cause we're seeing- Yeah I mean, the good teams have good running backs.

That, that, that's what we're seeing right now.

Now- Yes you know, so it's dicey, but yeah, yeah, they made up for it and drafted a running back at the end of the first round, Seattle, to, to still show you, "Hey, we still, we still need a good running back."

So they, you know.

But they just didn't wanna pay that for Kenneth Walker.

so it'll be- Well, that's true interesting to see where it goes.

But man, Mahomes, let me just say this one more time.

You know, watching him back, his arm, some of the throws he makes are unbelievable.

The way in which he delivers it.

When he wants to get the ball out of his hands quickly, he can get it out about as quickly as anybody in the sport.

He does that.

Mm-hmm.

If there's one negative I have about Mahomes, it's just that I still think he could be a better deep ball thrower.

That would be the only thing.

I see.

And I think he made improvements, last year compared to the year before, but I would still say there was a little meat left on the bone.

And even some of them that were complete, it was like, ah, but he had to stop.

That should've been a touchdown, and now he got tackled at the three yard line and we didn't score because we kinda played the safe throw to make sure we complete it.

There's some of that.

But other than that, man, I, I, I think I was a little blown away watching it back about just Mahomes is just so freaking good.

And it, it honestly hurts my heart to have him at number four, but you know, the injury does play a, play a factor in that.
