Who are still doubting whether or not the Bengals got a really good player in trading for Lawrence, I think you need to watch some more Bengals tape.
Every single practice that he's been out there, because he's taken, I think, a couple of rest days for, you know, veteran rest days and whatnot, he has been an absolute wrecking ball, whether it's against the pass, against the run, just tackling Chase Brown with just one hand, you know, in, in the ways that he can tackle in training camp, just tossing Ted Karras to the side in pass protection, forcing the Bengals' offense line to double him in situations in which they do not want to double any of the defensive linemen because these are just drills.
He has been a constant headache for this offense to maneuver around because that is who he is.
He is a game-wrecking force multiplier.
And what makes this even more interesting is just how much people have been dying down their expectations for Lawrence, maybe outside of Cincinnati.
They don't think that he's the player that he once was with the New York Giants, that the Bengals are taking on a player entering the second ac- that the Bengals are taking on a player entering the second act of his career, and he's just not gonna be the same dominant, All-Pro caliber player that he once was.
He looks every bit of it out there, though.
So if you are still doubting whether or not the Bengals got a really good player in trading for Lawrence, I think you need to watch some more Bengals tape.
He has single-handedly transformed the perception of this defense and just how much it can actually do from all levels, and I cannot wait to see how it translates when the games begin.
