Stafford wins NFL MVP, announces return to Rams
As Los Angeles Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford narrowly won NFL MVP and announced his return to the Rams next season, Kyle Dvorchak details the bumpy road for Stafford before this season.

Matthew Stafford was named the twenty twenty-six NFL MVP, and while accepting the award, he said that he will return in twenty twenty-six.
He won the award on the back of forty-six touchdown passes, four thousand seven hundred and seven yards, both of which led the NFL.
It's his first career MVP, and he nabbed it over Drake May by one first place vote, a much closer race than I think anyone thought it would end up being based on how we thought the voters would act.
May is in his second season.
He's already in the Super Bowl, and he came very close to winning an MVP this year.
His time will come for an MVP and potentially for a Super Bowl in just a few days.
For Stafford, saying this early that he'll be back is a really good sign for the team overall, because I don't know how many people remember how tumultuous last off-season was, with the potential for him being traded away from the team in search of a new contract.
That comes to pass, but then the injury woes late in the training camp, that also comes to pass, and of course, through the regular season, the rest is history, with the MVP really making it historic.
And this is great for the Rams because he's back.
Sean McVay and GM Les Snead have already signed contract extensions, so they are back.
In the backfield, Kyren Williams and Blake Corum are under contract for a few more years.
Both of them are back.
Puka Nacua and Davante Adams, both under contract for next year as well.
This is really strong for the team.
They're bringing the band back together for a strong push, hopefully to the Super Bowl, but at least to another strong regular season, especially for fantasy purposes in twenty twenty-six.
