How about the starting pitching today for the San Francisco Giants?
Earlier today, we saw Tugboat Matt Wilkinson, and today our River Rock daily jackpot, tonight I should say, Junior Marte.
Now you've got 14 Giants this season that have made their debuts in baseball.
That's the second most in all, in the entire sport.
The Blue Jays, they've struggled.
They've got 13 guys.
The White Sox, they're out there battling in the AL Central.
But the Giants, we see a new guy it seems like every single day.
But Marte today, 6-6, about 240, pretty impressive as he, as he goes four and two-thirds.
I agreed with Eldridge when we were just talking to him and said he looked like he belonged out there, and that he's been there for a long It does not look like this guy had never pitched at the Major League level before.
He went out there, he did a really nice job, walked two guys, punched out three.
He had that nerves, that nerves walk to start the game, and then he got his first out and things seemed to settle in.
But there was, the stuff was really, really good.
I would have loved to have seen him get that fifth inning and us score a run or two more for him so he can get that W, but there's a lot to like about Junior Marte.
Yeah, look at that smile right there walking off the bump.
Yeah, he's walking up- Keep thanking God for being healthy and getting himself a, an outing at the Major League level.
He's got an ERA.
I love to see it.
And we keep j- talking about the auditions for these guys, whether it's the pitching staff, whether it's batters.
We saw two rookies today really help the Giants try to win a ballgame.
Tugboat deserved to win today.
Yeah.
I know Ryan Walker came in, gave up the grand slam, but two rooks and also, Blake Tidwell, he didn't have his best stuff last night, but now we're starting to see some youngsters here get some reps and get some innings in, and we're gonna see who, sticks around here in the rotation in 2027.
That's why there's still a lot to play for in this season.
I mean, you have four weeks, four and a half weeks, five weeks, whatever it is left.
And first of all, you wanna play for pride, as we've heard- Yeah Krukow and Kuip say, right?
What, what's, what's the point of still playing this season?
You're playing for pride still 'cause you're putting on a Major League uniform, but you also wanna see what you have coming up for the future, and some of these young guys are really exciting.
You have some arms that can really help you out.
Carson Seymour has done a really nice job emerging as somebody who can pitch later in the game.
Dylan Smith, same thing.
Right.
And then you have these younger starters that are making a name for themselves when, when some of the injury bug has piled up for the Giants.
