Oh, if- He can hit the crap out of the ball.
If, if you guys, if any of the listeners have ever been to the old Oakland Coliseum or ever seen a picture of it, there are a series of press boxes right in front of Mount Davis, 'cause obviously the Raiders used to play there.
That ball went off those press boxes on the fly.
It's one of the furthest baseballs I've ever seen hit.
And for the Mets, I mean, like you said, Bob, they're hoping to get twenty twenty-th twenty twenty-three Luis Robert.
Luis Robert in twenty twenty-three, Bob, you mentioned it, thirty-eight home runs across a hundred and forty-five games, thirty-eight bombs, eighty RBIs, two- point two six four batting average, the on-base percentage of three fifteen.
He slugged five forty-two.
He was an All-Star.
He was a Silver Slugger.
He came twelfth in MVP voting.
So the Mets are really just hoping for a fraction of that kind of production from this guy.
I mean, Robert is twenty-eight.
His last two seasons, to put it bluntly, have not been good.
A combined two hundred and ten games the past two seasons.
Twenty twenty-four, he batted two twenty-four.
Twenty twenty-five, he batted two twenty-three, so he's trending consistently in the wrong direction.
One point less this past season.
On-base percentages of two seventy-eight and two ninety-seven, slugging percentages of three seventy-nine and three sixty-four.
So since that All-Star campaign, the production has definitely taken a dip.
Pete, you made an interesting point when we were talking about this just earlier today before the show.
Playing for the White Sox the last two years has Surely, there are more fun things to do.
I wonder how much of that was just him sandbagging.
Obviously, he missed a lot of time, but I'm excited to see what this change of scenery does for LuBob.
I mean, I'm fired up, man.
From what I'm gathering from all these signings, acquiring Bichette, Simeon, LuBob, they've got, Mr. Lindor still out there, is either gonna They're gonna find the fountain of youth this year and win ninety-five games, or the unction, and it's gonna win, like, seventy-nine games.
So either they're getting bounced in the first round, or they're just not making it.
That's my opinion on the Mets.
What the Chicago White Sox do to a man.
I don't blame him for, having down years.
I don't-- I think a lot of it has to do with just playing for really bad teams.
