Shane Van Gisbergen reflects on the Coke Zero Sugar 400, where Ryan Preece's win pushed him outside the cutline for The Chase and says that this one night doesn't sum up the success of the full season.

And one of the few situations that would knock SVG out of the chase was Ryan Preece winning.
That, in fact, happened.
How do you make sense of how the end of the race unfolded?
I mean, it's pretty fresh now, but, congrats to the 60.
But yeah, one night doesn't sum up our year, I guess.
We haven't been good enough, but it's been cool to be close.
But, yeah, shame we're not in it.
Do you feel like you were given enough information throughout the race?
Yeah, yeah, I did.
And then how would you sum up your regular season and what this team was able to accomplish?
Bits of it were good.
As a team, obviously we've struggled.
I'm proud that, I've been able to match my teammates on the ovals.
I think I've stepped up this year.
But, yeah, obviously you wanna be in that chase and didn't make it.
