I don't question that we played hard.

You know, we had, I, I believe, what, 11 penalties.

Um, We find these penalties here.

Yeah, had 11 penalties, snapped the ball over the punter's head.

You were 1 of 5 on 4th down.

You just look at those numbers right there.

And, um, you're just not going to win a football game.

You just make those kind of mistakes in critical situations like we did.

You're not gonna win.

And, and so, obviously, we've got to get those things fixed, um, and we'll, uh, look at the tape and review the tape and make a lot of corrections and, and get better.

But this was, um, a disappointing performance.

I thought our guys really prepared well coming into this game.

You know, I'd like to sit here and say, You know, that we didn't prepare well , but we did.

Um, that our guys were ready to play and when we got in those situations for whatever reason, we just didn't make routine plays.

And we've done that all fall camp and it didn't happen, uh, tonight.

That surprised me.

Yeah, disappointed in the penalties.

Yeah, very disappointed in the penalties.

Yeah, I thought.

I wasn't real impressed with how the game was officiated to start with and, and, uh, certainly we were a part of that.

Just be out with C, how do you go about correcting that this year?

Well, I think not have ACC officials for one, And then I think we've got to do a better job of, um, you know, Got to be more disciplined.

You know, we've got to be more disciplined.

We've got to Um, Got to do a better job keeping our hands inside.

We had several holding penalties that were really, really critical.

I think there was one point in the game where we had, had lost 3 consecutive drives to holding penalties.

Um, that killed us.

You know, we got into some long yardage situations every time we got momentum, we had some kind of penalty.

We had them backed up, um, and let them out because we got a face mask penalty and then we got a late hit on the quarterback penalty and You know, we had an unsportsmanlike conduct penalty, uh, from our running back.

We just, I mean, stuff that is, um, not again, not indicative of our players and our program, but certainly was tonight.
