From the moment he was drafted 11th overall by the St. Louis Blues in the 2026 NHL draft, Tynan Lawrence became arguably the organization's best prospect. Today, we look at three realistic goals he can achieve during the 2026-27 season.

What do you think this does for St. Louis?
Well, I think they're, they're definitely looking to, to get better right now.
you know, they're, they're retooling, making their team look different, but they don't wanna take a step back.
And I think Mason McTavish gets them a little bit younger than, than Kyrou.
He brings a lot to the table.
He has got a, he's got a ton of intangibles in his game.
great fit for the St. Louis Blues and how they play.
Brandon Carlo as well.
I'd be, I'm interested to see kinda what happens in goal there.
Mm-hmm.
If they move on from Binnington, if they go to, to Holfner.
Holfner certainly had a good year last year and is, is gotta be, knocking on the door to get the majority of starts there.
So I think this is a team that we're gonna see, look a lot better than they did last year.
Obviously, they showed us some great spurts last year.
They're super streaky.
managed to get themselves back in the mix and then back out of it.
But, I, I like what they've done here.
I, I, I think they're looking to get back to being competitive and being a playoff team, this season and, that kinda shows with what they've been doing here.
Yeah.
Mike, it's not gonna be easy for them to get back in the playoff picture because they are in that Central division, and we know there's a bunch of teams that are not going anywhere at the top there.
But how do you feel about the direction St. Louis is going?
and, and we, you know, we can't forget too they're, there's, they're starting that transition from GM Doug Armstrong to GM Alex Steen.
Yeah.
Well, the, the Blues could have looked a lot different if, you know, Colton Parayko had accepted a trade to Buffalo at the end of last year and if they ever did, you know, were able to pull that trigger on the Robert Thomas deal, Ryan.
But, you know, both guys are still in St. Louis and, you know, to Devon's point, you know, th- this is a, still a good team.
And you add Mason McTavish now to the mix and, you know, for him it was a numbers game in Anaheim.
I think, you know, a change of scenery's probably gonna do him wonders.
And you look at the makeup of the roster and it's still a pretty young roster.
Like, it's not so young like the San Jose roster where we're going, "Okay, they're still years away from maturing."
Like- Mm-hmm they have a lot of guys who are sort of just entering into their prime.
Robert Thomas, for however long he's been playing in the NHL, he's still not an old guy.
So, you know, the, the only thing g- working against them right now is what you just mentioned.
They're in the Central.
You know they're not gonna be a top three team in the Central.
Are they good enough to be a wildcard team?
And this year they hung around almost enough where they were a wildcard team, so, you know, th- they should be in the mix next year.
