Thunder Eye Trade Market After Jalen Williams, Cason Wallace Injuries
The Oklahoma City Thunder could turn to the trade market after Jalen Williams and Cason Wallace were hurt in a win over the Los Angeles Clippers. Both injuries could keep them out for the rest of the season. OKC is in line for a $15 million disabled player exception and also holds trade exceptions worth $17.8 million, $11.3 million and $9.2 million, plus seven future first-round picks and 21 second-rounders. Memphis Grizzlies guard Ty Jerome, earning just under $10 million this season, fits those exceptions, though existing contracts could limit a run at players making closer to $20 million. A deal may not come right away, since the market should open up in mid-December when most of last summer's free agent signings become trade-eligible.
