Timberwolves Lose Anthony Edwards for About Two Months After Knee Surgery

The Minnesota Timberwolves will be without Anthony Edwards for about two months after arthroscopic knee surgery. His return is likely after Christmas, though the team hopes to get him back sometime in December. Edwards opened the season averaging 33 points through four games and shooting 40% from three on a career-high 11 attempts per game as Minnesota started 3-1. With roughly 25 games to play without their four-time All-Star, Ayo Dosunmu and Terrence Shannon Jr. should see bigger roles, and Jaden McDaniels and Jonathan Kuminga will be asked for more offense. Minnesota went 12-9 without Edwards last season.
