Hi, Tony.
First of all, what can you tell us about Houser?
Just some tightness in his flexor.
Felt good in the bullpen, felt good rolling through the first inning, and then going back out there, just kind of barking at him a little bit, kind of a tight feeling.
Based off that meeting on the mound, I mean, we've got a little bit of a report out, but as far as how it felt, just a, a tight grab is what I, I got out of that deal when we were out there on the field.
Is he getting an MRI or anything like that?
Yeah, tomorrow.
So take a look.
He's back there and has, has a positive vibe about it.
So hopefully his true feeling is kind of what shows up there, but we'll see.
And, and the job that Molina did coming in and, and then his Giants debut, too, there, what are your thoughts on?
Yeah, it was great.
I mean, the one blip on the radar screen with, if I'm correct, just the one walk where- Mm-hmm you know, might have been hurrying a little bit.
Would've been hurrying for the whole deal.
I mean, you know, just got here yesterday and, get him out there in a, in an awkward situation and he handled it like a champ.
And, biggest thing was flooded the strike zone, like I said, other than that one blip on the radar screen.
And when our guys had to, they played really good defense behind him.
I mean, it was an awesome play in, in center, but also some other ones sprinkled in there, too.
So, good combination of some of those young guys supporting him with the glove.
But in order to get that opportunity, you gotta attack the strike zone.
He was, he was good with that and he was good in the dugout afterwards, too.
I think he was excited to get out there.
We've seen so many guys get an opportunity on the position player side in the last couple months.
Do you think it'll be a little bit like that with the pitching now for, for the next month or so?
We, we saw Molina, Seymour gets the ninth.
Yeah.
Yeah, I think we're kind of bl- blending into that a little bit.
But also, I think Seymour and Smith, you know, Harris, I think those are guys that i- it's, it's not like without, Something would have to happen for them to have a, a window of opportunity.
I think they were on their way to earning that regardless.
So I, I think there's a handful of guys that are blossoming into who they are, and then, guys like Sam and Foley have come a long way just to get back into the form that they're used to and what they're capable of.
And then, you know, among other subsets, there'll be one in there where the door's open, because of circumstances, and some guys will get a chance.
So, but it'll, it'll be an interesting week.
We, we are set up to do what we need to do to get Saturday, but a double header's a challenge for anybody this time of year.
We'll handle that and then kind of see how we attack Monday.
Already floating different options for that.
So feel free to ask whenever, but we'll, we'll have a, an answer when we got it, I guess.
Kind of a weird first inning there with the throw behind Drew, him and Jung who end up getting hit.
Just what were you guys seeing from your perspective there?
I don't know.
Some hooting and hollering at Drew there on one of his, ground out or line out.
I forget what it was.
So, you know, I don't know.
I'm, I'm not out there in the fight and got feisty with these guys last time, but you also got a deal where a lot of these guys know each other, have played with one another, WBC or whatever it might be.
So I don't know, maybe it's an SEC thing.
But I, I think the Jung deal is just trying to go in on a really good hitter and it went in too far.
Somebody else has done that, too, on the elbow, with, with the, the two where it's happened with Jung, who it's just kind of more unfortunate than anything.
Fortunately the elbow guard's there, but still.
But I, I don't, I don't think in the past with Jung or today there was any intent to those particular ones.
You have to be an absolute madman to have any ill will at Jung Hoo Lee.
So the other guy's a little feisty.

Drew Gilbert, that play crashing into the wall in left center- Yeah is that sort of an indicative play of what you've always seen from him going- Yeah back to his college days?
For sure.
And I, I think, we're talking about young guys.
I think some other guys, too, like, just starting to show, what they're capable of doing when, you know, I don't know if it's relax or whatever, but again, you, you wanna have high standards, but you gotta give a little bit of grace.
These guys, it's a heavy burden playing in this league, whether you're a veteran or you're a young guy.
And I think the more, they can trust that they belong here and I guess call it relax, the true version of them comes out, and I think that's been coming in stages now for Drew, not just on that play.
Maybe that was a little bit of an exclamation as we go down the home stretch, but you see it in some other guys, too, getting comfortable and being the best version of who they are.
Anthony, what, what was that like making your Giants debut, but having to get rushed to get ready and then coming in and it's one pitch the, the first inning you're out there?
Well, I mean, it was, it was really fast for me to get ready to start the game, but I was able to get the job done.
I mean, the first out was one pitch.
I mean, it hit me on the leg, but I got the job done.
What do you think of the catch Drew made behind you?
It was an incredible catch, and I just want to give props to the entire defense.
They got me through a little jams.
They did a lot of great, great plays behind me.
Anthony, how do you look at this opportunity that you have here now?

It's a great opportunity.
I'm very ha- grateful for the team for this opportunity and just looking forward to taking advantage of it.
Adrian, can you just kind of tell us what you felt out there?
I just felt like a little tightness going on.
Just kind of, I think started a little bit in the Stevenson at bat at the end of the first, so then went back out for the second, and was kind of feeling it on every pitch.
It was, you know, trying to gut through it, get, get through it, then barking a little bit.
But, you know, just kind of got to the point where it was a little, just feeling it every time, so we wanted to play it safe and so hopefully everything's good.
Just, you know, minor, minor setback, a little tightness, but get an MRI tomorrow and go from there.
Is it something that you felt anything suddenly like that before?
I've had a flexor back in, what was it?
'22.
I had a little flexor strain then.
Kind of feels similar.
Not, not near as bad, but so hopefully MRI tells us some good news tomorrow, and we'll see what happens and go from there.
How'd you come out of it the last time?
It was like a strain.
Had like a month off of throwing and then got back in there, like, I think it was like two months took me to get back, so hopefully it's not that bad.
But, you know, like I said, we'll see what the MRI says and go from there.
And- Pretty confident that this is- Yeah, as far as like us feeling, like some of the tests and stuff that they do, it feels, feels all right and, you know, it's, like I said, just a little tight and so we'll see what happens.
Do you think the job that Molina did, you know, especially on kind of short notice there- Yeah, I mean that's, that's awesome right there.
That's impressive to come in and do that, especially, I mean, the guys that did it yesterday with Wiz and stuff, so, you know, being able to do that back-to-back days is it's pretty incredible.
Came in, was throwing strikes.
Guys were playing great defense behind him and, you know, did everything that we could have asked for him in that situation.
You know, tip your cap to him for that.
It's, it's a big time move right there for him.
You've got some good defense behind you, too.
I think you were out there.
Were you out there for Hill's catch?
No, that was- Okay.

Defense, guys been, guys have been playing great coming out first inning, coming out hungry, so, you know, hopefully we can keep that up and keep that going for the rest of the season.

We, we saw, especially after the strikeout, the first at bat ,you look a little bit like, uh- Yeah, I think, last night I was a little passive in the box and just went into tonight trying to be aggressive and, you know, get on some good pitches.
So first at bat, didn't go my way, but, second one felt really good, so it was a special moment.
Did you get the ball?
I did.

Me and Carson took, some pictures, his first save, so congrats to him as well.
So it was really cool.

I didn't.

But, yeah, it was really great, great to get a win tonight, too, so special night for sure.
Did Devers come over and say something to you after that strikeout?
It looked like when, how they were looking at howzer, he said something.
Yeah, yeah, I'm getting a lot of texts about that.
Yeah, he just said, you know, "Keep going," you know, "Everything's good."
So, yeah, it was really cool, you know, for him to do that, and he's been great, you know, being with him and, you know, being on the right side.
It's been a lot of fun.
So he's been really good to us young guys and it's just, yeah, it's really important to, to see that so.
What are you gonna do with the ball?
Probably give it to my family.

Yeah, they, my mom texted me, and my dad's not a crier at all, and he was crying tonight, so it was, yeah, a really great night and, yeah, so I'll give it to, give it to my parents for sure.

It seems like it's, like a bigger deal getting that first hit rather more so than getting the call up to the majors for the first time.
Yeah, I think, yeah, I think just with the, with the Took a little longer than I was hoping for, so to get that one was, was really special.
And, Berg, came over during the game and after my first at bat he's like, "Hey, dude, like, just, you know, slow down and you're good at swinging at good pitches and, and doing damage on ones in the zone."
So, to get the hit after that, you know, I went up to him and I'm like, "Hey, man, like, appreciate you."
So it was, it was really cool.
Everybody was excited.
And, to cap it off with a win and Carson's first save was special, so.
