Everybody's gonna be asked at some point this summer about Brady Tkachuk.
What do you think about the Brady Tkachuk thing?
I thought Travis Green's comments were interesting.
He said, "To hear that Brady had asked to be traded and he was going to be moved at some point, unfortunate is a word I'd probably use a lot.
And I can't speak for Brady, but I was a little surprised, a little, you know, would I say mad?
A little bit, but also understanding that players have to make decisions and you move on though.
At the time, I didn't talk to Brady till after the trade was done.
I just felt like it was best that way between me, Steve, and Brady, but we did talk not long after the trade.
Obviously, you have to put business aside and talk as men.
You do your debrief, you have your conversation, you wish them luck, and you move on."
You surprised Travis Green was a little mad about the decision by Brady Tkachuk?
Mm-mm.
Not at all.
You're, you're, you're the head coach, he's the captain.
You'd have a, a different and possibly closer relationship with, with, Brady Tkachuk than he would have had with almost, everybody else on the team.
So yeah, I could see him being a little upset about it.
I, I, I think his reaction was the same as most fans.
At first, a little bit of, discomfort and a little bit of anger, and then eventually saying, "Okay, fine.
We'll turn the page and we'll get on with this."
Some fans haven't yet, but I think I understand where Travis Green's coming from.
I'd be upset too.
