So I talked to Coach Sa, but just given a lot of reps, a lot of series today, what was your overall impression being in that back safety spot, being able to see everything?
Um, you know, I, I feel like it was pretty good today.
We had a, we got a lot of good things, did a lot of good things, but then also there's some things we got to clean up, you know, it's a lot of snaps like you said, so, um, a lot of opportunities for a lot of new guys too that's coming in and stepping into new roles, and, um , you know, we'll watch the tape and, um, figure out what we need to do better as a team and move on from there.
What's the message with aggressiveness on trying to go for for picks, interceptions?
What is, is there a fine line you guys are trying to run or just go for it every time?
Uh, I mean, we, we, we're trying to be as aggressive as possible, you know.
The goal is 7 turnovers a game.
That's, that's, that's fumbles, picks, turn turnovers on downs , 3 and outs, stops, things like that.
So our goal is 7 turnovers a game and, you know, 7 turnovers a practice is what we practice what we preach.
You played here last year.
How much more fun is it to be on this side of things?
Uh, you know, it's a lot more fun, uh, just being out with the guys and, and seeing how, how good this team is gonna be this year and, and how close we are as a unit.
How tough is it when a guy like Ty goes down that you thought was gonna be able to help and.
How much do you say to yourself like, all right, I got to pick up even maybe a little bit more weight.
Yeah, I mean, it's, it's, it's always tough seeing seeing a guy go down, especially a guy like Ty, you know, who's going to be a big part of this team, um, he's going to be a big playmaker, but, you know, um, he goes down as the next man up, you know what I'm saying, we got to bring guys along and, um, new guys got to step up and.
That roll and we got to see and just prove who it's gonna be.
So how does Coach Woody help you guys kind of take in this defense and really have it set in the best way possible compared to other coaches?
Um, I mean, Woody's been around the game a long time.
He, he knows a lot.
Um, he's been, I mean, he's one of the greatest minds I've seen, um, coaching defense and Um, learning from him is amazing.
Um, I've, I've started to see things like through a new lens, um, and I, I think he, I think he's gonna be a real good defense this year.
How many picks is Kenny Worthy gonna have this year?
A lot, a lot, as we've seen out there.
He should have had 3 today, um, but man, Kenny is a, he's a great player.
He's a ball hawk.
Uh, he plays with great energy, great emotion, um, and I can't wait to see what he does this year.
Is there something about his game that you haven't kind of been around in your career?
Is there A trait that he has that nobody else has had that you've been a teammate of.
I, I would say I've , I've been around those traits, but I feel like there, he has like all the traits.
Like I've seen maybe like the great emotion trait in maybe one guy or one singular guy.
But he has every single trait that you would want in in a football player and especially a cornerback, especially defensive player.
When you turn on the tape of today, what's the first thing you're gonna be looking at for yourself individually?
Um, just focus on, um, what I can do better.
What, how, how can I detail it even more and be more precise in my assignment , more precise in my technique, things like that.
Anything else?
Thanks, M. Appreciate you.
