This Unheralded Free Agent Cornerback Could Be A Key To Broncos Offseason
Few people knew who cornerback Ja'Quan McMillian was before this season, but now everybody knows the name of the Denver Broncos' nickel back . He's not the best player in the secondary, nor does he relay signal calls from defensive coordinator Vance Joseph.

And it's not just because you're making the right draft picks and you're signing the right free agents, it's because you're developing guys the right way.
So to be able to have a coaching staff in place that is developing guys, that is seeing the vision, that is working with them to see them grow, has been amazing.
I mean, look at guys like Riley Moss, right?
Who comes in, basically has a, a red shirt year, his, his, his first year, and ends up, you know, becoming a starter for us.
you talk about Luke Wattenberg, right?
We get rid of Lloyd Cushenberry, we develop out Luke Wattenberg, now he earns himself a really big contract.
Quinn Meinerz has been someone that they've obviously developed into being such a stud.
Alex Palczewski, undrafted guy, now you put him at left guard, he's a very good player.
You put him at right tackle, he's a very good player.
Just one of the most essential depth pieces that we have on this ball team, on this ball club right now.
So, big kudos to them.
And, and there, there's examples of this really across the board.
I mean, the, the strides that Troy Franklin has taken this year, I mean, you see it, right, year over year with him, and, a- and many other guys.
So all of that, combined with a, with a whole lot of other things, has allowed for the Broncos to become very relevant again.
And not just relevant, we are playing this week, week 18 game against the San Diego Chargers or Los Angeles Chargers at home for the number one seed in the divi- in the AFC.
What does that mean?
How important is that?
It's massively important.
The number one seed gives you a huge advantage.
This game should be treated like a playoff game, regardless of who is playing for the Chargers, because it is a playoff game.
Because if you win this game, you automatically move on to the division, divisional round.
By getting the number one seed, you're playing fifty percent less playoff games in terms of your route to getting to the Super Bowl.
and it's massively important, and I expect a really good effort from this team.
