Okay, Trista, let's talk WNBA Wings at Valkyries, 10:00 PM Eastern, Monday night, Peacock, NBCSN.
The line, Valkyries minus five and a half, total 162 and a half.
Who do you like here?
Yeah, it's interesting because, Jay, the line was six and a half about an hour ago, and now it's actually moving in the direction of the Dallas Wings, which I don't understand at all.
AZ Fudd, their number one overall pick, looks like she's out again.
Azia James, she's out as well, another perimeter player that they need.
Jess Shepard is probable, but the training staff has been flip-flopping from questionable to out with their players all week, so I would confirm that also.
I mean, the Valkyries, to me, feel like an easy cover here.
Dallas three and seven against the spread in their last 10.
The only games that they've actually covered, Connecticut Sun, who are by far the worst team in the league.
They barely covered against the Atlanta Dream at home, and a New York team that is floundering.
And those games, they had all of their players, including AZ Fudd there.
They just played the Valkyries a couple of days ago.
They got run out of the gym by nearly 20, and Jess Shepard played in that game.
The, the vibes just don't feel good right now in, in Dallas, but more than that, this Valkyries defense is stifling.
And without AZ Fudd, who provides spacing, the three-point shooting, shot creation off the dribble, off the catch, this Dallas team just simply reverts to relying on Page for three quarters and then pretending that Paige Bueckers doesn't exist in the fourth quarter.
Dallas has just shot 26% from three in the games without AZ this season, the four games that she's been out, and that's kind of the only place that Golden State allows you to exploit.
So real question marks in general with this Dallas team, but if the line movement's going from six and a half to five and a half, as suspicious as that seems, I'm gonna go ahead and take Golden State.
