Vikings' Potential Rough Start: Dissecting Defensive Woes
The Minnesota Vikings need their defense to improve, with a brutal schedule, to compete in the NFC North and remain in the playoff picture late in the season.

Minnesota, you better win a few games you're not supposed to win early- on in the season, because once they go outdoors, indoor team going outdoors, you know how that usually works, Tom.
Especially with Minnesota's defense that I still have a ton of If you think the offense is crazy, ah, that was not a very good defensive effort a year ago from Minnesota.
And I don't know- that they did a whole lot to improve it.
They, they were very underwhelming last year.
And, you- Of course know, in a lot of sides.
And, and defense namely of what you should, of what we should expect from the, the Minnesota Vikings, the defense was the thing that was- Oh very underwhelming.
I can understand having growing pains with, what I'm gonna say last year was a rookie quarterback, McCarthy in his first year playing games.
I can understand the growing pains that the offense may go through and just the ups and downs.
But the defense not being the stable, sturdy thing that they can lean on, that was very, very surprising to me.
And overall, when it comes to their path forward for the season, I'm not sure what path they have really in the NFC overall.
When we're looking at the odds for conference, for pre-s- you know, for conference odds overall, I'm not really excited about where they sit in the NFC.
We could be seeing two teams come out of the West.
We could be seeing two teams come out of the North.
The South probably only getting one team.
Do we get, you know, two or three out of the East?
We can get at least two- potentially with the So the, the path forward for the Vikings to make the playoffs is pretty tough, but their defense has to be vastly improved compared to, compared to where they were last year.
Yeah.
Yeah.
And then they got, you know, they got wide receivers suspended for substance abuse.
Pa- like, they are just It is a mess right now with the Minnesota Vikings.
But some winnable games there, that is for sure, if they can get Kyler Murray- up and running sooner rather than later.
