Vinatieri on why Irsay-Gordon will present him
Adam Vinatieri looks back at some of the top moments of his Hall of Fame career and explains huis decision to make Carlie Irsay-Gordon his presenter into Canton.

Speaking of Rodney Harrison, his former teammate Adam Vinatieri getting into the Hall of Fame this season.
He's standing by with Mike Florio.
Hey, Adam, congratulations.
And I wanna go back to January of 2002.
That kick, one of the greatest kicks in NFL history.
In a blizzard, season riding on it, how do you lock in?
What do you do to get focused to make that kick in that moment?
You really have to try to block out all of what everything else means and just really focus on the conditions.
I, I'm not sure I've had a more difficult kick than that much snow on the ground, full-on blizzard.
Just really had to go make sure your, your footing is good, don't go in too hard so you slide on the ground, get the ball above the line of scrimmage, and then get it online.
And 45-yarder's absolutely not easy in the snow, but if you get enough If you get it online, you'll have enough distance.
But, it definitely, I had to wait till I saw it go through the uprights before I, before I knew for sure.
Plenty of great kicks in your career, but also there was a moment where you ran down a pretty fast guy in Herschel Walker.
Where does that tackle rank on your personal top five highlight reel?
Oh, it's definitely there for sure.
That's probably the most athletic moment.
I think that one probably shocks more people than any kick.
They expect you to make the kicks.
When, when you're lucky enough to run down a world-class sprinter, they go, "Oh, wow, he's an athlete."
So, definitely in there.
I'm not sure.
I'd, I'd still take a couple kicks over that, but, I think I earned a little bit of respect from my, from my teammates when that happened.

So many people think of you as a Patriot.
You chose to make Colts owner Carlie Irsay-Gordon your presenter for the Hall of Fame.
Take us inside that decision.
Yeah, I, I, you know, I love both organizations.
I've got so many memories and so many great friends o- on both sides.
You know, l- living in Indy, what, what the Irsay family meant to me, you know, Jim, Jim i It just meant the world bringing me into that organization.
And Carlie, I'm just so proud and excited that, just watching her, you know, take over her dad's legacy and, and what she's done thus far, I'm just excited to continue to see what, what her and the other two dau- the other two girls are gonna do with the team.
It was a clear decision for me at that point.
