Denver Nuggets free agent Peyton Watson remains available on the market, and teams like the LA Clippers remain interested in signing him.

Watson's camp is eyeing a deal somewhere in the $28 million a year range, while teams like the Clippers have only been offering somewhere in the range of $22 million a year.

Brett, what's the latest on Peyton Watson and his restricted free agency?

The biggest catch in terms of Peyton Watson and where he could end up is that no team in the league has any cap space left, which means if he was to go to another team, it would have to be by way of sign and trade.

That puts Denver in the driver's seat here, because they don't have to agree to any sign and trade if they don't want, and currently no deal has materialized for Peyton Watson, despite multiple suitors existing outside of the Nuggets.

Right now, it does seem like that Peyton Watson will be returning to Denver on some type of deal between what he wants and what Denver is offering him, especially after the team pursued trades for Cam Johnson, but are ultimately deciding to keep the sharp-shooting wing.

It does seem like the Nuggets are gonna look to run things back with Nikola Jokic at the helm of their team, and this is a group that still believes that they are a championship contender.

That is why they want Peyton Watson back, and they want him healthy for the 26-27 season.
