I'm Joey Polizzi, talking about all things White Sox.

And the White Sox made some more roster cuts here on Friday afternoon, with the regular season nearing just a couple of days away.

The White Sox have to continue to trim their roster to get to the 26-man roster for opening day.

But the four players the White Sox made moves for on Friday were all releases.

They released Lucas Sims, Austin Voth, Lamont Wade Jr., and the last one, Ryan Borucki.

And I thought these four players, some of them were a little surprising, starting with Lamont Wade Jr, who's coming off his best performance in the spring.

On Thursday, Lamont hit two home runs against Padres starter Michael King, and he kind of put together a solid spring, 289 batting average, an OPS over 1.00.

It has been a solid all around, I guess, spring for Lamont, who's been, you know, powering the ball, three home runs, barrel rate over 10%.

It's been solid all around.

To see him be cut, little surprising.

Little surprising after his big game.

But I guess the biggest surprising one of the two was Lucas Sims.

Sims has pitched well.

Sims has not given up a run this spring at all across his five appearances.

Has looked good.

And here at White Sox Roundtable, we actually predicted Sims to make the White Sox opening day roster, but the White Sox decided to go a different direction.

And then there's Ryan, who was the lefty, was probably pitching better than Sims over the past couple of weeks.

Ryan didn't give up a run across his six innings pitched, eight strikeouts.

Looked good here on Thursday night, one scoreless inning with two strikeouts.

But there's just too many lefties in the bullpen to start the season for the White Sox.

You know, you have Tyler Gilbert, you have Sean Newcomb, you have Chris Murphy.

Those guys ma- are making the roster, so there was no room for Ryan to make the roster.

But let me know what you guys think about these roster cuts.

Do you agree with them?

Do you don't?

Let me know down below.

And as always, guys, go White Sox, go.
