White Sox Midseason Checkpoint: Projecting Final Stats
With the White Sox halfway through a surprising 2026 season, here's a look at the final numbers their biggest contributors are projected to post.

It's the White Sox Roundtable, Sam Phelan with you here.
we are officially halfway through the two thousand twenty-six Major League Baseball season, with the eighty-first game of the year coming this weekend against the Kansas City Royals.
We're at the halfway point, and we can finally take a look at some of the projections for the White Sox, both as a team and for their players, where we think some of these guys will end up, what the numbers might look like, what the accolades might look like by the time we reach the end of one hundred and sixty-two.
For starters, the White Sox are in a great position, currently on pace to win eighty-six games, holding a forty-three and thirty-eight record through the first eighty-one of the year.
That gives them a one-game lead in the AL Central, putting the White Sox on pace for their first division title since two thousand twenty-one.
They've gotten there with contributions from veterans, rookies, everyday guys, bench players, everything in between.
So what might those numbers look like when it's all said and done?
Let's start with the offense.
Miguel Vargas, probably on pace to make his first All-Star game of his career.
entering play on Sunday, Vargas on pace for thirty-six home runs, one hundred RBIs, twenty stolen bases, and eight forty-one OPS.
Colson Montgomery is on pace for a forty homer season.
Andrew Benintendi has hit exactly twenty home runs in twenty twenty-four, twenty twenty-five, and he's exactly on pace for twenty home runs in two thousand twenty-six.
Seventy-eight RBIs for Benintendi would be the best offensive production of his career since two thousand eighteen.
Randall Grichuk, a pickup the White Sox got from the New York Yankees after he was discarded earlier this year, might hit eighteen home runs in the season in a bench role as a limited, contributor that kills left-handed pitching.
On the pitching side of things, Davis Martin is on track for eighteen wins and an eighteen and six record with an ERA right at three.
He too, like Vargas, could be headed to his first All-Star game of his career, while Anthony Kay, Sean Burke, both on pace for double digit wins, and Sir Anthony Dominguez at twenty-four saves.
Now, the real question, will Dominguez remain the White Sox closer for all of twenty twenty-six?
That remains to be seen.
Another key bullpen contributor has been Sean Newcomb, who's fit that long relief role really nicely and will, fall right around that one hundred inning mark if he repeats that first half production in the second half of the season.
So eighty-one games in, it's been a huge and kind of unexpected success for the White Sox.
But both from a team and a player perspective, the numbers are impressive and the accolades are going to match.
