We were told this morning that the Cowboys were focused on poaching an Eagles assistant.

An Eagles assistant, uh, and bringing him to Dallas, Christian Parker.
Now it's gone from focused on to done deal.
This deal is sealed.
Christian Parker, uh, the Eagles' secondary coach and passing game coordinator, is now gonna be the new Dallas Cowboys defensive coordinator.
He's only thirty-four, so this is a gigantic step in so many ways.
But his second visit with Dallas, which took place on Wednesday, was an impressive one.
I'm told.
And the Cowboys, who finished seven, nine, and one in 2025, while missing the playoffs for the second consecutive season, are gonna hand him the reins now.
He's been Philadelphia's pass game coord.
Since 2024, has a Super Bowl on his resume.
Credited with guiding a pair of Philadelphia defensive backs to All-Pro honors, That'd be Mitchell and Dijon.
Did the same thing in Denver, by the way, with Patrick Surtain.
So he's worked under Fangio.
He's, he's, he's, Uh, he's on the coaching tree of some very impressive guys.
And he's helped some very impressive guys at cornerback become superstars.
Uh, did have a stint at Texas A&M for a moment before, after his high school.
Uh, college playing career ended, went to the NFL and has built his career since.
The Cowboys' three other finalists were Denver aide Jim Leonard.
Who I, I thought, uh, was gonna get a second visit here.
Cowboys decided not to bother.
Uh, Duron Jones of the Vikings, and Jonathan Gannon, the fired head coach of the Cardinals.
Dallas cast a wide net here, as they promised they would.
They interviewed nine guys, narrowed it to four, and now they get their man in Eagles assistant.
