Hey, I'm Nicole Auerbach, host of Rushing the Field, and here's what you need to know for the upcoming college football season.
I think the expectations for Notre Dame are that they can win a national championship.
They're the team that I think is going to carry that trophy on that last Monday of the season.
This is a team that has the best defensive player in the country, Leonard Moore, a quarterback in C.J.
Carr, who might be the best quarterback in the country, and they have a little edge because of the way last season ended.
They don't want to leave this up to a selection committee, and you know the best way to do that is to just win all your games.
They've got that revenge game against Miami in the middle of the season, but ultimately it's a very manageable schedule, and they should just be able to do what they do best and develop chemistry with different receivers, figure out who's gonna carry the ball and how the run game's gonna work after losing two first round running backs.
And then again, just be anchored by what could be the best defense in the country.
So there's just really no weaknesses with Notre Dame.
I fully expect them to be a high seed in the college football playoff, and I, it's like I said, I expect them to be there on the final night of the season.
