We're here in Gainesville, Florida, home of these Gator legends.
It's so exciting, bringing back so many cool memories.
It really is, and I heard that these legends might even be at the card show.
You ready?
Let's go, Gators.
Let's go.
This is where I wanted to come, see where we met, retrace our college steps and our college days.
The College of Journalism and Communications here in the University of Florida.
We both worked at the campus news station.
Mm-hmm.
I was the head anchor for the campus news.
Oh my goodness, not this story again.
Kim was assigned to me as my tape editor.
So Kim had to bring me my scripts- and let me read the scripts out loud so she could edit the tape to the exact time that I was speaking.
There's some embellishment here, just so you guys know.
And you know, she was a couple years younger than me, but I thought she was pretty, pretty cute.
Quite a lot younger.
I thought she was pretty cute.
Jeff is substantially older than me.
That is really how we got to this point in the story, where he was the lead anchor and I was the editor, 'cause I was very advanced and got a great editing job.
Kinda worked out.
All right, we got a card show to get to.
Yes.
You ready?
I'm ready.
Let's go.
All right, let's go to the card show.
And we're here.
Welcome to the card show.
We made it.
I- Jeff's got his uniform back on I, I, I do.
Gotta go with the black shirt.
I see, by the way, I love this, this little Gator thing.
Oh, thank you.
This is great.
Jacket.
Fantastic.
We call it a jacket.
Very fitting because we are, of course, here at the, Florida Legends Card Show.
Yeah, it's really awesome.
It looks like a nice show.
It's not too big- No so it, it feels like this will be a good one to go search around and- To go search around in order.
Very organized.
All right.
Well, let's start.
You wanna go this way?
Yeah.
Let's go.
You wanna see a really, really cool card?
Sure.
Actually, you wanna see a couple of cool Michael Jordan cards?
Yes.
I'll show you a couple.
Let me show you the more, the more basic one first, and then the one that I think's the most fun.
Okay.
Oh, baseball.
Remember, you remember when Michael Jordan- Baseball Michael Jordan you remember when he left the, the Bulls and went and played for the, White Sox?
That's a baseball Michael Jordan right there.
Let's see.
Doing a little batting practice from 1991 Upper Deck.
That's actually before he actually went to go play in the minors.
I believe that was just, like, a little promotional thing they did in spring training one year.
Oh.
But then of course, later in the '90s, he actually went and played minor league baseball for a while.
So he wasn't on the team, he was just there for batting practice.
I think, I think that one maybe they let him play in a spring training game.
That's funny.
But it's kinda fun to see Michael Jordan on a baseball card.
Right.
But how about this?
How about Michael Jordan dunking a soccer ball?
That card I love.
That's from 1993 Upper Deck, so that was You had the World Cup going on back then, and, and this was a honorary Michael Jordan World Cup captain card, and they've got him, they decided to have him, you know, fly through the air dunking a soccer ball.
Right.
That's cool.
One of my favorites.
Hard to find in a PSA 10, too.
Both of those cards are hard to find in PSA 10, so.
Yeah.
I know you're more of a Shaq- Are you gonna make the guy an offer?
Well, I don't know.
I'm just looking right now.
You're allowed to buy things here, too, you know.
I, yeah, you know, I'm looking, I'm look We're gonna take This is the first dealer table- Okay.
All right so we're gonna take a little more in, but I- Don't wanna jump in too quick.
I just wanna point out those are pretty cool cards.
Those are cool.
All right.
All right.
We'll keep looking.
Very unique.
I should ask Tim Tebow who was better at baseball, him or Michael Jordan.
Yes, let's definitely ask Tim Tebow that.
I mean, that's a legit question.
Both of them played in the minors for a little while.
Okay.
Both of them were actually pretty close to making it to the majors.
Tim Tebow probably would've gotten called up at the end of one year, but he got an injury.
Jordan- Is there a Tim Tebow baseball card, too?
I have all kinds of Tim Tebow baseball.
Have you not looked at my personal collection?
Have I not shown you my vast array of Tim Tebow baseball cards in my personal collection?
Let's do that.
All right.
I gotta, I gotta show you my Tim Tebow baseball cards.
I know.
I'm s- I'm sorry that I didn't already know about this.
So here's the thing.
I normally don't bring my personal collection of Gator cards to display at a card show because most card shows around the country, people don't really care about seeing my Gator cards.
Yeah.
Just for you.
But we're in Gainesville, Florida, so I brought my personal collection.
Not for sale, but I still put it out anyway just because I like to show it off, and I never get to show it off.
But today I get to show it off, so this whole case right here at our CardsHQ booth is my personal Gator collection, my absolute favorite personal Gator cards that I own, and the most expensive card that I own- Oh, look is a Tim Tebow baseball card.
You actually have quite a few of them.
I do.
I've got his Green Kaboom one of one from 2018, his Gold Kaboom and his regular Kaboom from the same year.
Look, here's another one, too, that you have.
Yeah.
That's his, that's his- Timmy T in the baseball uni that's his first Bowman Topps, that's his Bowman Chrome first Bowman card.
Red card number one of five.
That's a really- That's really cool that's a really big card as well.
So yeah, Tim T- oh, I got one more cool Tim Tebow baseball card.
You really don't bring these out very often- Look at this because I have never seen any of these.
Look at that.
That's out of three.
That's his, triple patch from one of his minor league jerseys for the Mets.
So yeah.
Okay.
Okay.
I see.
Tim Tebow baseball representing here.
Those are cool.
Those are cool.
Look at that.
I like them.
Yeah.
By the way, shout out cousin Cooper over here, nephew Cooper.
Good job, nephew Cooper.
Uh- Holding down the fort nephew Cooper has been manning the table here while we've been, walking around, and he's been helping getting some deals done for us.
Yes.
There we go.
Thank goodness.
It takes a village.
All right, let's go find some more cards.
All right, let's go.
Oh, I kinda like that one.
Oh, the Yeah, the, the That's from, Z-Force, 1998 Sky- Skybox Z-Force.
Can I look at that one?
You know, there's a Shaq version of that.
No, I know.
I was gonna say, you know I'm normally, like, a Shaq person.
Right.
Right.
But I've heard that Jordan's a pretty good investment, too.
I mean, you know, he's okay.
I'd put Jordan, you know, he's, you know, it's all right.
It's been all right.
Yeah, that was a cool set.
I actually opened up a box of that with my sports card investor team, like, four years ago.
Did you get this in it?
We did.
We pulled that exact card.
You did?
We pulled that exact card out of the box.
That's fun.
Back then it was worth nowhere near that much money.
I think it was like- So do you think that this price is right?
Should we look it up, or do you know?
Sure.
No, I can, I can look it up for you.
It almost looks like, like he's, like, a Disney villain it does.
Is that like, that like, Maleficent?
It's got like a Maleficent theme It's like Maleficent with Jordan?
Yes.
Yes.
I think There you go.
So it's that one, I believe.
But we gotta look for it graded here, see if we can find any in the list of all the PSA ones here, for the Z-Cling.
Yeah, there it is.
Yeah, so there we go.
Okay.
So that's it right there.
Is that it?
Yeah.
Whoo.
Whoo.
Okay.
Yeah.
Would you be interested in a trade on this?
Or- Sure.
Would you like to see what's in my Kim's card box?
Yeah.
Spoiler alert, it's mostly Shaq.
But I do have a few other things.
So that's actually kind of cool, 'cause, my daughter's a Shaq fan, so.
Oh, yeah?
Yes.
Okay.
I like her already.
I don't actually know I, I should've looked these up before I came over here.
Do you know if any of these are, like, things I should put out?
You know I don't like the coating, so I'm kind of like, over that one.
Oh, you wanna trade the finest with the coating?
Maybe, just 'cause I, I, I don't like this, when they put the coating over these people's face.
Well, I can look it up for you.
Now, one rule of going to a card show and bringing cards to trade is you should price your cards out- I should look them up beforehand.
Yeah.
So you should have a little mental idea- I should have looked at them or maybe even a list.
I should've priced them and maybe put a sticker on them.
Or maybe even, maybe even add them to your collection within Market Movers, because then you could- Oh, wait, did I do that?
I might have already done that.
Oh, well you see, then that makes it super easy.
Sorry, sorry, sorry.
Let's, let's check.
Let's check.
Let's check.
For the record, it i- is in here, but- Oh, look at that.
Okay.
So, the, you think it's that one right there?
Yeah.
Or the other one?
I actually found a sale more recent on it of, of, $60.
60.
Yeah.
All right.
So I'm gonna be at 60 on that.
The problem is I like all of my Shaq cards.
Well- I don't really wanna give up any of them then you can buy it.
Maybe I just am gonna have to buy it.
How about this?
I'm s- I'm still gonna say that I would like to trade for that.
So if I did that, I know I'm at 60 on that.
What do you think?
Plus 460 in cash, so that would put us at 520 total value.
Yeah.
That seems good.
Seems very fair to me.
Okay.
Yes, let's do it.
All right.
Thank you.
No problem.
460.
Great.
Awesome.
Thank you.
Thank you.
Thank you.
Nice doing a deal with you.
You too.
Good to see you.
All right.
That one's yours.
Thank you.
All right.
Do you see the name of their company?
Dill Pickle.
Dill Pickle Sports Cards.
I like it.
Memorable.
Gotta have a memorable name.
Yeah.
That's a memorable name.
It is.
It is.
And their logo's really cute, too.
It's actually the nickname of my oldest son, so.
Oh, really?
You call him Dill Pickle?
Oh, that's fun.
All right.
Well, there you go.
Well, your, your box is n- That was good.
Yeah, your box is getting more full.
Yeah.
I don't- So I got the Jordan.
What's, what, the problem is I bought mostly Shaq, which is great, because that's my PC, but it's bad because I don't actually wanna get rid of any of it.
So then all I'm doing is buying.
So I realize I need- That's okay to get a few things like, you know, maybe like this Jordan- Oh, trading that are Well, or just things that I'm maybe not quite so emotionally attached to.
Sure, sure.
So that I can try to, you know, sell them and, yes, I guess trade them and yeah.
You got a really good deal on that, by the way.
I know.
You did so much better than normal.
Did you see, did you see my, do you see my- You, this man has been blowing up.
You guys have been watching all of my deals, 'cause he, he, he tells all of how the sausage is made right in front of the dealer.
But this time, you did it.
I just stayed quiet.
You were just like, "Whoo."
I just showed you that, like, Market Movers said that the last- I did higher the last sale on that card was, like, 590-something dollars.
I saw that.
He had it stickered at 540.
I saw that.
And you even got it down a little bit from that, so.
I know.
I did really good.
You got immediate Now what you could do is you could immediate- Oh, don't leave me hanging.
Don't leave me hanging.
I can't You got, yo, hold on, hold on.
That's good.
That's good.
Babe, we spent almost 20 years here together before we moved to Atlanta.
I know.
It's hard to believe it.
It's fun to be back.
I love being back.
We went to so many games in the football stadium, and then you got the basketball stadium over there.
The national champion Gators.
Yes.
They play there, my babe.
We won quite a few championships in this particular corridor.
We've won six championships between football and basketball during the time that we lived in Gainesville.
Well, the most recent basketball one, we were already in Atlanta.
That's true, that's true.
But it's cool to be back.
Oh, these were custom, these were custom made.
These were custom made.
We lost him.
Cool.
Jack.
All right.
These guys, these guys just grabbed me here 'cause they wanted to do a trade for one of the cards in my case.
All right.
Oh, look at that.
Look at that.
I love the early Kobe stained glass.
So Cooper, have you negotiated a trade with these guys here?
What are we doing?
What are we doing?
We trade this for- Trading, we're trading a Kaboom.
Show the camera there the Natural Sapphire.
Okay.
So that one's getting traded away.
You're trading that to them, and what are you getting in return?
I get the stained glass Kobe.
See, there you go.
Look at that.
Super cool.
Cooper's got good taste.
Good job, Cooper.
Thank you guys very much.
Thank you very much, sir.
Appreciate it.
Thank you.
Best of luck.
Yeah.
Thank you very much.
Yes, sir.
Yes, sir.
Awesome.
Enjoy yourselves.
Thank you.
Hope, hope they do good this year.
Oh, I hope so, too.
Yeah, absolutely.
Good luck with the Kobe.
Thank you very much.
Take care.
Thank you.
Good job, buddy.
Cool.
That's a good one.
All right.
There we go.
I like the stained glass.
Those are cool.
Not bad.
See, that's the way it's done right there.
That's good.
The, yeah, that earb- that early Kobe stained glass.
Those stained glass cards from 2012- Ah they're tricky right now.
They're a little tricky.
Oh.
They're not All these other first-year inserts from all these different sets, they've all shot to the moon.
Like, first-year Kaboom.
Yeah.
First-year Downtown.
First-year stained glass has gone up, but they're actually, it's actually more rare than some of those others I just mentioned.
So you think that you got some value in that potentially?
Okay.
Yeah.
I think that, I think that thing is, people are gonna catch on out there and they're gonna start looking for those first-year stained glass cards.
I think those are neat because the, they are, you know, you can see the light through them.
Yeah.
They're actually a functional stained glass design, kind of- Yeah, yeah which is like, it's just so cool.
Yeah, those are cool cards, for sure.
Yeah.
All right.
Let's see what else we got.
I don't know how deep you are- Just don't really wanna- in the, in the collection for Shaq, so this might not be, uh- You don't know how deep my It's, it fits in this box.
That's how deep it is.
Okay.
Well, what I mean was, like, I mean, like, value, value-wise.
Oh, well- 'Cause it's- similarly valued .
I wanted to give you a few Shaqs to add to the collection.
Oh, there you go.
Oh, look at those.
I found them last night.
I was going through some cards, and I'm like, "Those are pretty cool."
Oh, that's awesome.
I think Kim will appreciate those.
I love that.
Yeah, those are super cool.
Thank you Thank you, Cameron.
Thank you so much.
Absolutely.
There you go, Big C7 cards.
Thank you.
I really appreciate these.
Appreciate it, man.
You know I still want this Beam Team though.
This is what he's doing, he's just g- he's getting me sh- you know, buttered up- Oh to come get this Beam Team.
To come get the Beam Team?
I do really like it, guys.
I don't like that sticker, but I do like the card.
Going to a card show like this is so much fun, but if you can't be here, the next best thing to do is to go on Whatnot, because Cards HQ is live on Whatnot seven days a week.
We're selling singles, we're breaking boxes, and so much more, and we'd love for you to join us.

This one's such a cool card.
So, see what's going on there?
See who that is right there?
No, no.
Some- that's someone guarding.
LeBron.
Yeah.
Guarding Kobe, right?
Yeah.
So that's, that The photography on certain cards just makes them more iconic over time, right?
Mm-hmm.
There's certain cards through the years that because of the photo on the card- Right it just makes the card, like, super collectible.
Yeah.
And that's one of the best examples of that, because on Kobe's card in 20- 2008 Topps- they used a photo of LeBron guarding him, and the two of them were friends, good friends.
Mm-hmm.
And then obviously when Kobe passed away, LeBron did a tribute to Kobe.
Right.
So, like, that card has become a collector favorite- Yeah because they're both on the same card.
Yeah, because it, like, shows the relationship.
And I, I've had that card in various grades, Topps, Topps Chrome, I Over the last couple of years, probably at least 10 different times in my showcase.
Right.
And every time, I always, like, people wanna trade it, people wanna buy it.
Yeah.
Trade nights, it's always one of the most popular cards I have.
Sure.
Doesn't matter if it's raw or graded, doesn't matter if it's high-grade or low-grade.
It's just people always want that one.
They love it.
Yeah, they do.
So I was just going into Market Movers and just taking a look at, you know, what they go for raw.
So, kinda gives you an idea.
They'll bounce, condition-wise, they'll bounce anywhere from about 250 to 350, depending on condition.
I mean, not that I really know what I'm looking for, but it does look tight to me.
I mean, it certainly looks nice, doesn't it?
I mean For a raw card, it certainly looks nice.
It's a little bit off-center left to right, and I guess top to bottom.
I guess the centering on it's not ideal, because if you got a little bit of a wider border on the left than you do on the right- Uh-huh and then you've got more space up top than you do at the bottom.
So, the, it's the image is shifted this direction.
Okay.
So, you know, it's probably It wouldn't grade super well, but the other aspects of it, the corners, the edges, and the surface all look really good.
So, little off-center, but very nicely preserved.
Right.
So, you know, it's a pretty cool card.
Okay.
I always like picking those up, just because they're always so popular.
Oh, I like that one too.
Can I see the, um- Operations?
Oh, Operations.
Yeah.
I actually just, uh- You just sold one of those, right?
I, I just sold one.
Yeah.
So, I wouldn't mind picking one up.
This one's very famous because, Precious Metal Gems, which are the most iconic, expensive, parallel of all time, this is the base card from that year.
So, the- Ooh.
Yeah, and he's also got it here in a PSA 9 it looks like too.
So these have gotten very popular.
Obviously they're a lot less expensive than the Precious Metal Gems version of it, but they've gotten popular for that reason.
And then the Operations is cool as well.
I like the design of that one.
Just a cool looking card.
Yeah.
Yeah, I have one of these in PSA 10, but a guy came by earlier to offer me on it, so it's not bad to pick up one of those raw.
Let me cook up a little offer here.
There you go.
So that one bounces between about 200 and 300, depending on condition.
Okay.
Doing some math.
My sound effect for your math brain.
I'm not even gonna try, that's why I bring you.
Can I request a different song for my math brain?
Sure.
What math song would you like?
I don't know.
Give me, like, Margaritaville.
Oh, okay.
It's about where my brain's at right now.
Okay, perfect.
It's 5:00 somewhere.
5:00 somewhere.
All right, then this is the metal universe there.
If I were to, on these two, I'd offer 550 on those two.
Do you need songs for your math moment as well?
Yeah.
'Cause we could facilitate that.
Yeah, yeah.
Okay.
He's got the Jeopardy!
Theme going on in his head right now, yeah.
Oh, see?
Yes, perfect.
There you go.
Would you do six?
I think, I think I'll get those two for 600.
Okay.
And then I'll think on the rest of them.
I'm- But I'd be happy to do- I got, I got lots of room.
You're welcome to make an offer.
Appreciate it.
Yeah, thank you very much.
Welcome.
Yeah, nice to meet you.
Awesome.
Nice to meet you.
Great, great doing the deal with you.
Thanks, guys.
Yeah, let me get some cash out for you here.
Nice to meet you.
Thank you.
If only there was an easier way to keep your money organized.
First deal of the show.
I mean, you know.
All right, we're not gonna show that.
Boom.
Oh, we're definitely showing that.
All right, grabbing those.
I got, I got, I got my money counted.
Got a couple of cool cards right there.
Those are gonna be incredible, to have these at Cards HQ trade nights and everything.
Yeah, those are great.
Ooh, I hear some cheering too.
I heard that, Mr. Danny Wuerffel is here.
Ooh.
And we're gonna get a chance in just a second here to go up on stage with him.
That's pretty cool.
And then later, later, Tim Tebow and Stevespurger.
That, all the Gator Greats.
Yeah.
But we gotta go.
Maybe we pop up there for, Danny.
I think he's coming out.
Okay.
We've got some, legends up here of course, and the, the first one, Heisman Trophy winner, Danny Wuerffel.
When you look back at your cards from, like, the Gators and the Saints and, and NFL Europe, is there kinda one, one memory or one set of cards that you, that you like the most?
You know, I had a lot of great memories on different teams.
There was one card that actually they had, I don't know why, maybe some logo thing, but they had trade They had, photoshopped somebody else's lower body onto my body.
So that was a, that was a weird one.
I don't remember which one that was.
But certainly for me, my greatest memories playing football were here in Gainesville and as a Gator.
Coach Spurrier said, you know Your coaches and your parents, they tell you things all the time and you're kinda like, "Yeah, whatever."
And then as you get older, you're like, "You know, maybe they knew something."
But he said, "When you win championships, you'll never forget some of those memories."
And we, we won four SECs and a national title, and just, just some of the best memories, some of the best friends.
And so whenever I see the ones where I'm in a Gator, like th- this one, that's, that's pretty cool.
Awesome.
Thank you very much.
Well, that was awesome- Yes getting to see Danny Wuerffel.
It's so cool to see him.
My- Such a Gator legend oh, my gosh, my freshman year, we won the national championship.
He won the Heisman Trophy.
The memories are unbelievable.
Yeah.
So to get to go on stage with him and talk about cards is pretty fun.
Yeah.
This is all out of my price range.
Oh, what is this?
What is this?
But look at all this cool stuff.
Shaq, Shaq, Shaq.
Shaq, Shaq, Shaq.
All the Shaq.
Oh, you got all kinds of stuff here.
They are really nice Shaqs.
I know.
These might not all be out of your price range.
Well, I actually- I don't know.
Ooh.
I see it's lots of zeros.
$7,000.
Oh, definitely out of my price range.
It's a beautiful card, though.
This one's neat, Finishers, but it has the coating.
No coating.
You're a no-coating kinda girl.
I just, I think they have to be no coating.
I just think it bothers me.
I, I, I'm with you.
I'm with you.
I just have, like, on principle, I don't know why we've left that on there.
It's just, like, very strange.
It is nice though to see literally almost an entire showcase, half a showcase at least here, of just Shaq.
I know.
That's what caught me.
That's pretty great.
That caught my eye, 'cause I was like, "Oh, this is the most Shaq I've seen."
I don't know.
You like any of these?
Well, since you're a '90s girl, I mean, the one that I like the best is the '98 Fleer Brilliance Gold.
Is that a notable card?
It is a nice card, yeah.
People like that card.
That's, kind of a popular late '90s cards.
Wait, which one did you just point to?
The $7,000 one?
Yeah, the $7,000 one.
Yeah.
Not helpful, Jeff.
Yeah.
Kinda drawn to that.
Not helpful.
Not helpful.
All right.
Keep looking.
I'm glad, I'm glad you are- Thank you.
These are very cool I'm glad you are committed to- Not ready yet.
Not ready yet a budget.
I'm glad you're committed to a budget.
Not ready.
Makes me feel good.
Okay.
One of us has to be.
Look at all the championships.
1996, I was in New Orleans for that game at the Sugar Bowl.
That was my freshman year.
Danny Wuerffel winning the national championship.
That's really cool.
And then 2006, we won it.
I was with you.
I was at that one.
Yeah.
We went together.
Remember where that was?
Arizona.
Glendale.
Glendale, Arizona.
You are right.
And in 2008.
That was Miami.
We went to that one, too.
Boom, you got it.
And then by the way, we won two basketball championships in between.
I know.
That was a crazy stretch.
It was a crazy stretch.
We won at those as well.
Mm-hmm.
Yeah.
What, what a time to be a Gator fan.
Mm-hmm.
Hopefully this next few years, maybe?
Maybe?
Maybe it's time to be a Gator fan again.
Let's hope.
Let's hope.
All kinds of Gator memorabilia.
I mean, you love to see it.
To put in, put in your, in your office.
Oh, we can put this all over.
Not in the house.
Bedroom would be wonderful.
Basement would be great.
Bedroom would be fantastic.
Oh, what we got here?
Signed by the 2006 Gator national championship team.
Wait, wait, let me say it for you.
We already have that.
Yeah, we do.
Yeah.
We already got that in the house.
We gotta get this- All right for Carter, SpongeBob SquarePants.
Oh, no more SpongeBob.
Please no more SpongeBob.
I'm over the SpongeBob stuff.
He's a hater.
He's a SpongeBob hater, this one.
2003?
There's 2003 SpongeBob cards?
The first licensed cards and packs.
Really?
It's got a complete set here.
I did not even know that was a thing.
Oh, wait a minute.
Look, look at this.
Wait a minute.
Oh.
That's much more up my alley.
That's just Paula Abdul.
Fun facts, guys, Jeff is a Paula Abdul super fan.
It was the first concert I ever went to in my life in high school, was a Paula Abdul concert.
Guess who opens for Paula Abdul that day?
I don't know.
Color Me Badd.
Oh, that's you got some good '90s.
Color Me Badd.
I mean, that's, that is a major early '90s combo right there.
Color Me Badd and Paula Abdul.
Oh, look, he has a whole bunch of them.
Oh, what is this?
You needed to.
We got the whole Paula Abdul collection- A collage going on here.
Is this What is this?
A o- Is this $1?
Yeah.
Oh, I'm gonna buy this for you.
Can, can you buy me- I'm gonna buy this for you.
Will you?
Yeah, I really, really am.
Will you?
Okay.
Borrowing a dollar from Rob.
You got it?
Rob has allowed me, Rob has allowed me to borrow a dollar.
Look at how- Mine is not much cleaner, but- Yeah, his- Look at how organized Rob's billfold is, though.
At least he has a clip.
He has all the things going on.
Okay.
Um- Would you like a top loader for that?
Here you go.
Oh, I would definitely like a top loader.
Ooh.
'Cause the top loader might be worth more than a dollar.
Is it good to be back in Gainesville?
Yes, it's super fun.
I met my wife here.
Oh, yeah, we met here t- as well.
We came here in 2012, and then have a two and four-year-olds.
Oh, congrats on that.
And then we just moved to Orlando- Awesome two months ago.
Well, thank you for this.
Sure.
Go Gators.
Of course.
Say thank you to Rob- I mean, thank you- for buying me this Paula Abdul card thank you.
Thank you, Rob, for spotting my wife the dollar to get the Paula Abdul card.
I mean- The card show is now complete.
I mean, come on now.
You can't do better than that.
You're welcome.
How's the Paula Abdul market these days?
I- Are we trending up with Market Movers?
Truly don't know.
I certainly hope we're trending up.
Oh, you found something?
Well- Oh, she found something sort, sort of.
They have this- She's calling me back.
Calling me back they have a really strange Shaq card over here.
You see Shaq?
Well, kind of.
He's like- Let's see if you know anything about this one.
Do you have a Shaq radar?
'Cause all I see, I just see, like, a mess of cards.
You got a Shaq sonar?
I do.
I don't, I don't even see Shaq.
Where's Shaq?
Shaq speaks to me.
Somewhere over there.
It's like beep, beep, beep.
Yeah.
Beep, beep, beep, beep, beep, beep, beep, beep, beep, beep.
No, I didn't know about that.
No, I just learned that.
Yeah.
I would ask Jeff to tell me about this card, but he's otherwise occupied as usual.
Do you know about this card?
Can you tell me about this card?
Yeah.
Yeah, so that's his rookie year, '92.
Okay.
Got it.
And it has- But who are these other people?
It's, it meant for that r- year, that r- year, like future stars of that year that were supposed to be superstars.
So it has- Are any of these other people superstars?
N- I mean- No Shaq, mainly.
Who are the other ones?
Do we know?
Football one's Desmond Howard and, um- No, I've heard of Desmond Howard.
Have we not heard of him?
Okay.
No?
Okay, never mind.
Baseball's Phil Nevin.
Ooh.
And then hockey is Roman Hammerling.
Interesting.
Yeah.
So they only got one out of four on this card?
Yes.
Yes.
But they got them to all sign it.
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
It's fine.
We'll wait.
Cool.
Yeah, no, very cool.
I'm not trying to buy Shaq here or anything like that.
Do, do you remember where we were?
What's that?
Do you remember what I was saying?
Something about Shaq.
Yes.
Good guess.
Your sonar went off.
I, what I was gonna ask you is, have you ever heard of this?
What is this?
This is so strange, isn't it?
What am I looking at?
I saw it earlier today, and I asked them if they knew anything, and they said they did not, but they would look it up.
And they did, so now I know a little bit more, but I'm wondering if you do.
So yeah, that's Desmond Howard right there.
Footby.
I mean, he's, you know, he's on ESPN.
He's a great personality.
And then you've got a So he autographed it there.
And then you've got Shaq.
So that's Shaq's autograph right there.
I mean, that's pretty cool, actually.
Isn't that wacky?
It's a quad autographed card.
Phil Nevin down there.
Yeah.
So yeah, I mean, I guess they were all the hot rookies in 1992.
Yeah.
To have all four of those guys.
I mean, obviously, you know, Shaq is the one- Sure that has the most.
But Desmond Howard is real popular, too.
Yeah, that's what I said.
I mean, he won- I'm like, I've definitely heard of him he won the Heisman Trophy.
Yes.
Star for Michigan.
Two-way player.
Right.
On ESPN GameDay.
Yeah, totally.
So he's super popular, too.
Yeah.
Those two guys are super popular.
The other guys were popular back in the day.
Their careers didn't quite reach the same level.
But, you know, they were pretty popular, too.
To have all four of them with gold ink on the same card- A find with an auto grade of 10, a card grade of eight is actually pretty cool.
I, I've never seen that before.
To tell you the truth, I'm a little surprised it's as inexpensive as it is with- Oh, not this again.
Shh.
Oh.
Keep that to yourself.
Forgot.
Shh.
Gotta learn about this whole- Is this like a- negotiating thing is there a comp that we can look up or what do you think?
Are you just gonna- There are comps, yeah.
Okay.
Tell me, how do we get this price?
I bet you that Market Movers could find it.
Hold on, let's- So .
Yeah.
There you go.
Boom.
Boom.
Look at that.
Market Movers got it right there.
Yeah.
Whoop.
I mean, oh my God.
There we go, 225.
What do you think?
I think it's pretty cool.
Yeah, I've never seen that before.
Never seen it before.
Can you do, like, 190?
Okay, great.
Let's do that.
Thank you.
Thank you.
Oh.
There you go.
I like it.
Very unique card.
I like it.
Very unique '90s Shaq card.
Rookie year Shaq auto for 190 bucks.
Yeah.
Little, tossing a little Desmond Howard.
It's like a, it's like a moment in time.
Little Phil Nevin.
You know, like everybody else that was, you know, good that rookie year.
Yeah.
Like, it's like a storytelling card.
I like it.
Well, and it shows you also, like, they all, you know, even the biggest stars- How short they are work out to different degrees.
Oh, I thought you were gonna say how short everyone is.
Well, they are.
They actually are short compared to Shaq.
'Cause it does show you that, how short everyone is compared to Shaq.
All right.
We're gonna put this one straight into the Ken's Cards box.
With its other Shaq friends.
Oh, I've almost run out of room, you guys.
Gonna need to expand the Ken's Cards box.
Oh my gosh.
I, I might actually be out of room.
All right.
Gonna need a bigger box.
All right.
There's the man.
Steve Spurrier just took the stage, and he's doing a little signing.
So- Yeah look what I brought.
That's a Steve Spurrier rookie card.
Really nice condition one as well.
I wonder if he's seen that.
I mean, I know he's seen his rookie card before, but I don't know how many of these he's signed, especially in this condition.
It's a beautiful, beautiful copy of the rookie card.
So I'm gonna get him to sign that.
Okay.
And then this is really special.
Look who it's already signed by.
Bobby Bowden.
So now we're gonna get this Steve Spurrier- Oh, cool Bobby Bowden duel on the 1997 Florida Florida State game ticket.
That's really cool.
Isn't that cool?
Okay.
All right.
There we go.
I see you were thinking ahead.
I thought, I planned for this.
Well done.
I planned for this in advance.
Well done.
I knew he was coming, and so- We went deep in the archives for this stuff, you guys we did.
This is great.
Hey, coach.
How you doing?
Hey.
How we doing?
Hello.
I'm fine.
Good to see you all.
Good to see you.
How are you?
All right.
I got a couple- We brought you some stuff got a couple fun things to sign here.
You recognize that guy?
I got a bunch of his cards, yeah.
He wants to sign the helmet.
Of course he does.
Ladies first.
Oh.
I think that's D.J.
Lagway on one side, so we're trying to get Oh, you want me to sign?
I don't think Lagway won the Heisman that year.
He didn't.
No, he sure didn't.
He was up for it.
Sure didn't.
He didn't.
No, he didn't.
Well, we'll put it on the shelf just like that.
When he, when you signed him, he was up for it.
Yep.
And then, Coach, this is kind of a special one.
You'll remember this game.
1997 in The Swamp.
Oh, yeah.
And look who, look who else already signed that on the bottom down there.
You got him to sign that?
Yeah.
Can you believe that he signed that?
Bobby Bowden signed that?
You know what that game was?
It's the only time ever that Florida beat the number one team in the nation at Florida.
It's the only time in The Swamp history.
Do you know that?
I was sitting there.
It was also the loudest, I believe, The Swamp was ever in its history.
That was the loudest game.
It was loud at the end, for sure.
Yeah.
When, yeah, when that Doug Johnson threw that long pass, and I think it was to Kwesi Wright.
He took it all the way down the field.
Yeah.
Fred Taylor took it in.
That's right.
Right at the end.
That was, that was probably the most fun game I'd ever been to.
Yeah.
So.
We rotated quarterbacks.
That's right.
Somebody said, "We must have a great quarterback that game."
Yep.
I said, "No, been nice.
I walked on."
And Doug, he had the bench once every year, but he came back.
Yep.
Yeah.
All right.
Well, thank you, Coach.
All right, man.
I appreciate it.
We'll see you at dinner tonight.
Yeah.
Yeah, thanks for coming.
Awesome.
Oh, that was fun.
So fun.
The old ball coach.
I love Steve Spurrier.
Oh, he's a- He's just the best just a legend.
So you gotta appreciate somebody who just speaks their mind- And just says whatever they feel like saying- That's right and doesn't really worry about what anybody thinks- Nope about it, right?
And you can just tell how just passionate he is about those days.
Like, the minute- Oh, yeah he brought that ticket out, he launches into the whole story- Yeah about the win, how great it was.
And, and the stats about it was, like, the only time- Yes that they beat a number one.
He's very proud of what he accomplished.
So proud, and he, he just- And he should be and he just lights right back up.
Mm-hmm.
Like, it's just like he's so genuinely pumped up about being a Gator.
It's really cool.
And I'm super stoked that I got a pr- couple of amazing pieces now- These are great for my collection.
I mean, I'm so excited- They're very- about this.
Yes.
Just ones I'm gonna hold on to forever.
Yeah.
These are great.
There you go.
Always remember this day and this show.
That's one of the cool things- Yeah you know, about collecting, is you get these memories along the way.
Yeah.
So there you go.
Good job.
All right.
Well, let's, let's tour around a little more.
Great.
Let's see if we can pick something else up here.
More stuff, more stuff.
All right.
We gotta check this out.
Let's see it.
Look at this.
Look at this.
Oh, what is this?
Can you believe this?
Wait a minute, we got a bedazzled box?
Yep.
Wait a minute.
I- Wait love it.
Wait a minute.
Are you a trendsetter here?
We got, we got a bedazzled box.
She gave me inspo yesterday.
Wow.
Yeah.
I made it for my dad's, Kobe tribute LeBron James cards.
I love that.
See how in they got the Kobe tribute LeBron James cards.
I know, isn't that amazing?
That's, that's- Like, those are the cards that you like, so.
I love those cards, too, so that's super cool.
So you bedazzled this yourself last night?
I did.
Um- It took me, like, 45 minutes that's super cool, so you got- 45 minutes.
You got, LeBron's number, you got Kobe's number, you got Lakers colors.
Yeah.
That's excellence.
Yes.
That's, like, super- This is so rad.
We, we You and I are gonna start a trend.
Yeah.
Everyone is gonna start doing this now.
Exactly.
This is the way to have your cards in a bedazzled case and- Everybody's gonna start doing this now?
I think so.
Yeah.
Are they?
Are you?
Do you want me to bedazzle, like, a few more things for you?
Could Should we bedazzle this?
I can see it, like, completely- You wanna bedazzle this thing?
Yeah, let's bedazzle it.
Yeah.
It is an option.
We could bedazzle some slabs.
Anything that stands still- Maybe bedazzle we could bedazzle.
All right.
So I gotta go check out what Mealypops has going on.
They're- Getting some Gator cards?
They're the big store in Gainesville, which means they've always got a lot of Gator cards.
Jameel.
That's great.
How's it going, Jameel?
What you got?
What you got?
Good.
Kim, Jeff, how are you guys doing?
Good.
How are you?
We're always doing great.
Rock.
We're always doing great.
You guys have been killing the show.
I, I see Kim collecting, Shaq cards, so- Yes it's getting We're, we're changing the game with, with moms collecting.
I gotta get my wife on the game- That's right collecting some stuff too.
#MomsCollecting.
So what, so what do we have in the way of Gator cards?
'Cause you've always got some great Gator stuff here.
Yeah.
Let me pull You know, this is a fun one.
I think this card you offered me $10,000 for in a trade.
I think I did.
In a trade in Cleveland or Chicago one year.
Yeah.
And I- His market, unfortunately, has fallen out a little bit.
Yeah.
You know what's crazy about Anthony Richardson, though, from the card side, is he's so young.
Yeah.
He could still potentially reinvent himself somewhere.
There's always a chance.
So, so this card- What is that, a Burger King card?
That's funny.
Yeah.
You know about Burger King?
This was given out regionally.
Sure don't.
Emmett, it was a rookie card, and they gave 'em out regionally.
At Burger King.
We see a lot of these.
Yeah.
That's funny.
And they were always, like, greasy and- At Burger King the higher grades are very hard to get of these cards.
Okay.
So yeah, it's like, it's like you see the Bur And there's a lot of fakes of that, that float around as well.
Right, there are.
So- Yeah that's the- Yeah, without the, without the Burger King logo.
This has been a great show for Gators.
We sold the one of one super fractor of Jaden.
Uh- Wow and I have the Papardashia, which I picked up at the national.
Wow, that's super cool.
Let me show you a couple- That's awesome cool cards that you might not have seen before.
I've not seen this one.
What is this one?
So that might be Spurrier's rarest card outside of his one of ones, which I have another one here, too.
Wow.
The Nebula, but this is from the All American set, and they didn't make a one of one.
They made the gold extractors, so if you flip it over, it's cool.
It's almost It ble- bleeds in, but they're out of five.
Interesting.
And I've never seen that card surface on, on eBay, and I picked it up as quick as I could.
What, what year is this from?
It's from the All American cards from, two thou- early 2000s.
Okay.
And there's usually a base one.
Love- people love it 'cause it's, like, a, a matte finish.
But those gold extractors are, like, impossible to find.
Huh.
So that's a cool Spurrier, and then I wanted to show Tim this card.
I know we didn't get a chance to see it in the But this, do you know about this card?
Let's see if, if Jeff knows this one.
Not that one- The bottom left specifically.
Will, will- Oh, the cup.
It's from the cup.
Wow.
It's a hockey card, 'cause Upper Deck had Tebow and Sam Bradford rights back in the rookie year.
Yeah.
It was inserted into the cup products.
I didn't know that he was in the cup.
And there's only 10 of that card, so- Really?
I don't know- What's the cup?
A hockey?
Yeah, it's a hockey, set.
So they- And they just snuck a football Tim Tebow card in there?
Apparently so.
Upper Deck at that time was- Weird they had the rights for the collegiate, right?
Okay.
So they had, Sam Bradford, Oklahoma, they had Tebow, Gators, and they put a lot of their stuff out.
So they snuck some of his stuff into the other products.
Wow, that is wild.
I wonder what the hockey fans thought when they just, like, pulled out a football Tim Tebow, and like, "This Like, did my box get messed up?"
We, we know hockey fans.
They probably didn't like it very much.
How, how are you?
How's it going for you?
Have you picked up some cool cards?
Have you seen some cool Gator stuff?
Show's been fantastic.
Yeah.
Show's been fantastic.
And by the way, Jameel and Mealypop were the folks who organized this whole show.
So shout out to Jameel for putting on this- Good job.
Good job, Jameel this Legends card show here in Gainesville.
Thanks.
Thanks.
I love the fact that, like, Gainesville's finally getting something on a large scale, specifically sports.
We know TCG's gonna follow.
I mean, people are awesome in the TCG community, so- Yeah and maybe we'll have some new, different signers in the future, have some fun with it.
Yeah.
You know what I mean?
So And you guys have been great, 'cause the promo, I know a lot of people were saying, "Ah, it's a Gator show."
I'm like, "No, no, no, we're gonna have good Gator cards- Yeah but we're gonna have everything."
There's a lot of good cards.
Yeah.
Yeah.
So.
I think I gotta get that.
I think you should.
I like that one.
I mean, that's so cool.
Would you- I like that one a little better than this one.
I do, too, 'cause this one's- This one looks a little more, like, of the era.
It's of the era.
It is the, it is the Florida uni instead of the- Yeah instead of the, 49ers uni.
That's like a '66 jersey, right?
Yeah.
The old, like, '60s jerseys.
I think so.
That's super cool.
You know what else would be a really nice signature right across there- Why not?
There we go if we ever got him to sign it.
Okay.
I don't know.
I don't know.
Nice spot for a signature, perhaps.
Got to PC that.
I'm sure he would do it for you.
Yeah.
Don't sell that one.
If you do, get a PC, 'cause I think- Yeah Spurrier stuff, they're not gonna make a ton, you know No, yeah, there's- It's rare that we saw these come out of Mosaic.
Right.
So, yeah, that's a great set.
I, I had, I had a Buckus I sold at the national, out of five from that, too.
Sold for, like, $1,000 or something like that, but I mean, it's, it's a cool set.
All American cards, collegiate.
Jeff knows back in the day, so.
I like it.
Would you do 700 on that?
I think I can do that for a fellow Gator.
Yes, I can do that.
There you go.
$700.
Yeah.
Let's get that one.
All right, sweet.
Appreciate that, Jameel.
Sweet.
Thank you very much.
No problem.
No problem.
Fun doing a deal with you.
There you go.
Well, thank you so much, sir.
Appreciate it, Jameel.
Go Gators.
Go Gators.
Thanks, Jameel.
It was fun working- Thank you this event and getting to see all the Gator fans between us and- Absolutely so we need more of that in the hobby.
This was great.
So good luck in Detroit.
The shop's opening soon, right?
Yeah.
Exciting.
November.
Yeah.
Ready for it.
Exciting.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Another shop.
Absolutely.
Can't wait.
Appreciate it.
Cool.
Cool, man.
Thanks.
Thank you, man.
Thank you.
Thank you.
What a day at the Florida Legends Card Show, and I, I picked up a little surprise for you- Wow earlier today- Thank you that you didn't get a chance to see.
Hi, what is that?
Check this out.
Let's see.
Let's see.
Oh.
No coating.
Miss the coating.
No coating.
It's so much better without the coating.
You can actually see his face.
Yes.
Would you like that for your Shaq collection?
I really would.
Can I ask you- Can I put it in my bedazzled Kim cards box?
Can I ask you a question?
Yes.
Oh, no.
Will you be, will you be forever my girl?
Yes, I will.
Thanks for watching, guys.
We had a great time at the card show.
I hope you've had a great time watching.
Gotta give a little shout-out to Market Movers, because I used Market Movers throughout the show to price all those cards out.
It's the best way to price your cards out.
Go to, the App Store on your phone and search for Market Movers to download the Market Movers app.
You can try it for free.
And that's a wrap.
That's a wrap.
Thanks, Gainesville.
This was so fun.
Thanks for watching.
Take care.
