Lachina Robinson here with our Hall of Famer, Sheryl Miller, and Sue Bird.
And we have a guest off the top of the show, and I'll give you a hint.
She's from Folkston, Georgia, and I don't think she missed a pull-up tonight.
Courtney Williams with a 30 piece.
Courtney, thank you so much for, for joining us.
Wow, your team was dominant tonight.
111 to 77 on the road.
You had as much as a 37-point lead.
What was clicking for your team tonight?
I think we was getting stops.
You know, I think we always give ourselves a chance when we, take pride in our defense.
Courtney, Sheryl Miller.
First of all, that was a commissioner, cup beat down.
God.
Y'all beat, y'all beat Phoenix like they stole something from you.
Oh, man, you playing.
Come on now.
Talk about the defense a- and, and what you guys were able to inflict on the Merc tonight.
I mean, we know that they're a tough team, and we know that they can get hot at any minute because they have great players.
So I think we just leaned into, again, our defense, understanding what we had to get done.
had to stop all the fouling, man.
So I think once we locked in, I think, I mean, you saw what happened.
Hey, Courtney, it's Sue.
you know- What up, Sue?
We've talked a couple times about you playing that point guard position.
I'm gonna keep it real.
You did Like can't say enough of how well you handled that the last couple years playing the number one spot.
But now that you're back in your natural position- how good does it feel?
Oh, my goodness, it feels amazing.
Lord have mercy, it feels amazing.
Hey, man, especially to have somebody like Liv, right, who is just super talented, see the floor, the pace of play that she plays with.
She just makes the game easier for all of us.
Well, Courtney, I am here to officially let you know that you have earned an invite to Club Dub.
You know what Club Dub is?
I hope W's in the chat.
That's right.
Dub's in the chat.
Dub's in the chat.
And you are player of the game.
You just get in a zone with your pull-up.
Like what were you thinking in those moments?
Because you was unconscious on the heater for a good bit.
I mean, just get into my spots, man.
I think once I get to my spots, I, I don't really You know, not trying to sound crazy, but I don't really think nobody can mess with me once I get to my spot, so.
And that's- And I think we got so many threats and Courtney, that's what I love about you.
First of all, I mean, even if they chase you off the three, I think you are the most efficient player when you step below that three-point line.
I mean, you are absolutely killer.
Yes, ma'am.
Thank you.
Court, I wanna hear you talk about your guys' chemistry.
I mean, you lost like half your team in the off-season.
You're building something new, but it feels like it's coming together pretty quick.
Oh, yeah.
I mean, look, we, we always understand what it is we could do.
I think it's the world that always wanna act like we trash.
And then we come in and always show everybody like we here.
So I mean, we know what we could do.
Our locker room understands what it is and what it ain't, so we just gonna keep playing Lynx basketball.
Thank you so much, Courtney.
We appreciate your time.
I got one more thing to say to you.
Talk to me.
Ooh, she feeling it.
Believe it.
Thanks so much.
Appreciate y'all, man.
Congrats on the win, on the win.
