Wissa feeling confident, comfortable at Newcastle

Johan, I don't know if people at home saw it, but you've just been in the Newcastle fans.
Who have you been to see?
Yeah, I've been to see my family, my wife and my son, because they traveled all the way to, from Newcastle to be here.
So, so yeah, I'm very happy, you know.
I'm part of the team, I'm part of the club, and I want my family also to enjoy.
Just looking at that away end, it's a special club when it has momentum.
Of course.
You know, I know, I know these fans, they are so lovely.
They love their club, they love their player.
And, what they want is just us to give them what we have, everything in the body.
So we try.
It's been difficult today, but they never, they never stop singing, shouting.
So, so yeah, today's for them today.

So you know there was negativity around pre-season.
You lost the manager, you lost a lot of top, top players.
Why has this season started so well?
Because- The team first for the team because, you know, of course we lost so many players, but I think the, the club work well and, and it's good because this is challenging.
So, we need player to step up, you know what I mean?
So, so like me, for instance, I didn't play- You really are stepping up this year yeah, you know what I mean?
Like, I didn't play last year and, so now I have the chance to play, so I just need to enjoy every single moment.
And there's so many players, you know.
New players, even Amara today's been unbelievable, you know what I mean?
So, so yeah, some Even Anthony now.
So yeah, so many player have to step up and I think we enjoy to, to be challenging.
And with the fans behind us, no one can stop us.
So why has the start of this season been so different for you personally?
I guess injury's part of it, but confidence as well.
I mean, how tough did last season get at its lowest moment?
First because my, I'm not injured.
That's the first thing.
And then secondly, because, I feel confident now, you know?
I trust myself, I trust, I trust the manager, I trust the club, I trust the player around.
Because, you know, even I didn't play last year, but I had, like, so many training with them, so I know all of them.
You know, we've been training a lot, a lot.
So now I know, they know Actually, they know me, you know, and they know my movement.
And for sure for myself, yeah, I need to enjoy because- Yeah last year it's been, it's been tough, but I enjoy every single moment now.
But it's just the beginning.
A- and I'm not saying Eddie Howe wasn't, but are we seeing a real top, top manager at work here in Matthias Jaissle?
We look at the, not your goal, but the first goal.
You tried it about 40 seconds into the game as a team, and then e- eventually it got you your first goal.
That, that looked like something you had worked on again and again on the training pitch.
Yeah, for sure.
For sure.
As you said, Eddie Howe have done a top job at the club.
We need to respect that.
So now the new manager came with the new i- identity.
And yes, that's something we've been working, but is everything we've been working, because today we w- we scored that one, set pieces again.
So, so yeah, everything, every part of the game we are really precise and, of course he's a really dy- dynamic m- manager, so we need to give e- everything.
But yes, I think he's the best signing of the Newcastle so far.
