What we just finished, actually, let me go back.
What we just finished was the England and Croatia match, finishing with a score line of 4-2.
That's six goals, ladies and gentlemen.
These are two teams that met last time in the World Cup in 2018 in a very, very fiery quarterfinal match.
Croatia came out on top 1-0.
So coming into this, coming into this, there was a lot of expectations for both sides, for both teams.
Both teams wanted to win.
Above all, this is an opening match for both of them.
England taken over.
At first it was close.
At first anything could have happened.
It could have gone either way, this or that.
But in the end it was in fact, it was in fact Croatia that fell behind.
England just went on the attack.
And I gotta say, it was those hydration breaks.
We've been hearing a lot about the hydration breaks lately.
The hydration breaks did Croatia in because that is what ultimately led to the momentum switching and England absolutely taking it home.
Okay, I just wanted to talk about that because that is the game that literally just ended moments ago.
So England taking the three points, Croatia left with absolutely nothing.
However, however, there's been other matches, today that are going to happen, I should say.
Let's look forward.
Uzbekistan and Colombia, that's gonna be an interesting one.
Colombia, ladies and gentlemen, coming into this as one of the favorites in the Americas.
Definitely one of the stronger teams out of South America, definitely North America as well.
And then we got debutants, Uzbekistan, a team that has never qualified for a World Cup before and will now be on the world stage.
So it's all eyes on Uzbekistan, who are coached, by the way, by none other than Mr. Cannavaro himself, the Italian World Cup winner, the man who is a genius in the back.
So this is gonna be a really defensive team against a very, very dangerous Colombia with Luis Daz in the front who plays on Bayern Munich.
All right.
So that's one of the matches that we got coming up in the next few hours.
Panama, Ghana.
Earlier Marcelino was saying that Ghana's not gonna ganar.
Panama's gonna take it.
We're gonna have to see what happens there.
I wanna talk about this match right here, Portugal and the Democratic Republic of Congo.
Look at that score line, 1-1.
I don't think people expected this one.

I just, I don't think they did.
We had a lot of people saying, "Portugal's in it.
They're gonna take this World Cup.
This is their-- They're gonna be the dark horse.
Everyone's talking about Argentina.
Everyone's talking about France, Spain, this, that.
But I think it's gonna be Portugal."
Portugal plays their first game against DR Congo, a team trying to make its, a name for itself in this tournament, and they tied 1-1.
Cristiano Ronaldo not showing up for the team.
It was Joo Neves, their star, you could say, who did score early on, but it just wasn't enough.
Wissa scoring on a set piece, they left him wide open, stunning the Portuguese who were unable to come back and actually come out on top.

Portugal is in a group, let's see this group, Group K, with Congo, Portugal, and then Colombia, Uzbekistan, the, the match that we just saw.

This was a fascinating game to watch.

That's what I love about this World Cup, by the way.
Everywhere you're going in the city, you're seeing watch parties.
You're seeing people out in the streets.
The vibes are next level.
I'm loving it.
And that's literally what happened in this point.
I was going to the Apple Store.
I ended up sitting and watching Iraq get absolutely obliterated by Norway.
Erling Haaland taking these Iraqis by storm.
They didn't know what hit them.

He's absolutely unstoppable, and he's showing that this is his World Cup to shine.
They did not qualify in previous World Cups.
This is a guy who's been on top, but never had the chance to represent his country in a World Cup because they just couldn't qualify.
But now they did, and they showed up against Iraq, a team that I think a lot of people were rooting for.
You always want to see the underdogs do quite well.
But hey, hey, we're early on in this.
