Podcasts are still hugely popular, with the number of listeners annually now close to 600 million. There are many reasons for this. Podcasts are a convenient and fun way to consume content, plus you can enjoy them while carrying on with other activities.
You may find it useful to know that with Microsoft's Copilot you can ask for information and have it presented as an audio file of up to 10 minutes long. Each episode is delivered in a broadcast-style, with presenters giving you the lowdown on whatever you've asked for. Let's discover how you can get Copilot to generate your podcast.
1. Open Copilot
The first step is perhaps rather an obvious one but you need to open the Copilot chatbot. This can be the website version or the app for iOS and Android .
2. Enter a prompt
Now simply enter a prompt. It needs to start with the words: "Create a podcast about..." followed by the subject of your choice.
For example, if we wanted a podcast about PlayStation 5 games expected in 2026, we'd write: "Create a podcast about PlayStation 5 games expected in 2026."
3. Sit back and wait
Creating a podcast takes between two and five minutes. Copilot will often suggest another podcast angle you may want to explore but you can, at this point, simply wait for the podcast to generate.
4. Listen to the podcast
When a podcast is ready, you can click Listento hear it. You can also click the Share iconto copy the link which you can then send to other people.
5. Engage with the podcast
When listening, you will find options to pause the podcastand to go forward and backwards 10 seconds at a time.
6. Find the podcast
You can find your podcast at any time if you click the Library iconand select Podcasts. You will need to be signed into Copilot in order to podcasts to be saved.
