Carnival Cruise Line is changing how it prices Wi-Fi and drinks packages — and passengers are unhappy.

In an October 14 announcement , the company revealed that starting in December, it will "introduce dynamic pricing for beverage packages and Wi-Fi plans."

The company also introduced Funpacks, a combination of add-ons purchased pre-cruise, including Wi-Fi, beverages, shore excursions, specialty dining, savings on spa and photos, and family-friendly perks.

"Pricing will vary based on sailing length, itinerary and season," the announcement stated. "Whether guests choose to bundle benefits through a FunPack or purchase individual packages, these enhancements provide greater flexibility and more options for tailoring their Carnival vacation experience."

In a statement to Fox News Digital , Carnival said dynamic pricing will only happen with individual beverage and Wi-Fi packages.

"Importantly, once a guest purchases a package, their confirmed price is locked in and will not change even if pricing is adjusted later," the company said, while insisting the move will give passengers "greater flexibility and more options for tailoring their Carnival vacation experience."

In a post on the Carnival Cruise Fans' Reddit page, users expressed their disappointment with the introduction of dynamic pricing.

"I've never heard a single person that was happy about dynamic pricing," one wrote, to which a second user responded, "It gives people the 'flexibility' to pay more!"

"It's like they are actively trying to put themselves out of business," another wrote.

"Everything is a money grab," someone else chimed in.

According to the cruise giant's website , they currently offer four Wi-Fi package options ranging from $20.40 a day to $90.00. They also offer five drink packages, as seen online .
