A woman stares out of her cruise cabin window with a mournful look while her roommate laughs and asks, "Are you OK?" According to BroBible , the TikTok video carries a text overlay reading "Me when I found out Carnival canceled our drink package." The creator ties the loss to a room upgrade she took.

Asked in the comments why Carnival pulled the package, she replied, "Cause I upgraded my room." She recalls that the line phoned to ask whether she wanted to upgrade for a friend's birthday, and she states "they didn't say at all I would lose my perks."

She adds that no refund came for the package, and her caption vows "I'll never take another cruise with them again." All details come from her video and comments and could not be verified independently, and the outlet states it reached out to Carnival and the creator.

Carnival's sale terms mention forfeited benefits

In its Plan On Fun Early Saver Bonus Sale terms , Carnival states that a guest who re-prices to a new promotion assumes the terms of that promotion and "may forfeit any or all features associated with the original fare, such as cabin assignment, onboard credit." The terms limit price protection to "a like category stateroom (no downgrades allowed)." Cabin deals on the line have drawn attention before, as when a man tried a standby cabin .

The terms add that reservation changes "may result in the assessment of cancellation penalties or service fees." They place booked extras such as vacation protection, air, transfers and prepaid gratuities outside the sale's price protection, so any rise in those costs falls to the guest. Prepaid cruise extras have raised questions before, as when a passenger skipped prepaid gratuities .

A separate Fun Select section of the same terms states that "Subsequent upgrades in lieu of price protection will no longer be offered" and says Carnival may assess a change fee based on the request date, cruise length and sail date.

Carnival's Cheers! help page states that guests must be 21 or older, that "each adult assigned to the same stateroom must purchase the program" and that the program "is non-transferable." It covers servings with a menu price of $20 or lower and allows "up to 15 alcoholic drinks, per 24-hour period." The page also limits orders to one drink at a time, with a 10-minute wait between them.

Online pre-purchase closes at 11:59pm ET the evening before departure, and the program is not sold on two-day or charter cruises. A separate zero proof program "does not require all guests in the same stateroom to purchase it." Refunds have a deadline, since the page says Cheers! "is refundable up to 10:00pm ET, the evening prior to the cruise departure" when bought before the cruise, and adds "Otherwise, CHEERS! is non-refundable."
