MYRTLE BEACH – One week after Breeze Airways added 11 direct flights to Myrtle Beach International Airport's lineup, Grand Strand air travelers have once again hit the jackpot.

Breeze on Oct. 22 announced the addition of service to Atlantic City, N.J., from Myrtle Beach. The new route offers service to the "Las Vegas of the East Coast" on Thursdays and Sundays effective immediately.

Stepping in to fill the void left by Spirit Airlines' closure in May , the value airline expanded its number of Myrtle Beach flights from 14 to 25 on Oct. 13, growing Breeze's seats there by 70 percent. It will be the airport's largest carrier in both destinations and seats offered by the spring of 2027.

"This is a huge moment for MYR and the community we serve," Horry County Director of Airports Judi Olmstead said last week. "From the much-anticipated return of Boston and Latrobe to nine other equally exciting cities, there's so much for our residents and visitors to be excited about. We couldn't be more pleased to see Breeze grow at MYR."

The expanded service includes two new direct destinations for the airport — Boston and Latrobe, Pa. Others include Albany, N.Y., Burlington, Vt., Columbus, Ohio, New Haven, Conn., Portland, Maine, Portsmouth, N.H., Stewart/Newburgh, N.Y., and Syracuse, N.Y.

Known for its affordability and for bringing routes to underserved destinations, Breeze currently operates more than 300 year-round and seasonal routes to 95 cities in the U.S., Mexico, Central America and the Caribbean.
