Little House on the Prairie child star Melora Hardin recently made a bold declaration about the late Michael Landon .

In the beloved historical western drama, Landon portrayed Laura Ingalls Wilder's father, Charles "Pa" Ingallsas well as executive produced and wrote several episodes of the series. Hardin, meanwhile, played a character named Belinda Stevens.

Hardin, now 57, recently opened up about her time working with Landon in Little House on the Prairie . In 1991, Landon died at 54 after a battle with pancreatic cancer.

"Michael Landon made everyone feel safe," Hardin told Fox News Digital  in an article published on March 15.

"He trusted in us, and we trusted in him," she said of the actor's relationship with the other child actors on set. "He was protective of us. And I think that was one of the most important lessons I learned early on [in Hollywood]—surround yourself with the people who make you feel safe."

Additionally, Hardin described Landon as "so warm."

"I've always said that acting and making movies and TV are one of the greatest team sports around. And I believe Michael Landon was my first example of that," she continued.

Hardin then made a bold declaration about the late actor, sharing that Landon didn't tolerate jerks.

"He didn't have any a--holes on set. And I think that's super important," she explained. "If you feel safe, then you can do great work. He really knew how to make us feel comfortable. He would let us do our thing. He wasn't a meddling director. He was very joyful."

In other Landon news, the actor's son, Christopher Landon, recently sent a blunt message about the Little House on the Prairie reboot in the works from Netflix .
