Wyatt Russell, a star of several Marvel movies and TV shows and the son of Hollywood icon Kurt Russell said he'd jump in Lake Erie if the Buffalo Sabres made the playoffs.

When he made the bet with fellow employees at Lake Hour, the upstate New York based canned cocktail company he co-owns in November, staying dry seemed like a decent bet. The Sabres had the NHL's longest postseason drought at 14 seasons.

But Buffalo won the Atlantic Division and will host the Bruins to start their best-of-seven series on Sunday. Russell made good on his bet on Saturday. He and a bunch of Sabres fans jumped into the still very cold Great Lake.

Wyatt Russell, 39, has the rare distinction of having both an IMDB and Hockey DB page. He was goalie growing up and played high-level junior hockey league in both the United States and Canada before a brief stint as a professional in the Netherlands.

In addition to his Marvel work, he's scheduled to play Charles Lindbergh in an upcoming limited series about the Kennedys. He plays a hockey player in both "Goon" and "This is 40." His father is beloved in the hockey community for his portrayal of Herb Brooks in "Miracle."
