Andre Gasseau won’t be the latest player to join the Bruins from Boston College.
Gasseau, Boston’s seventh-round pick in 2021, just completed his senior season as an Eagle and plans to become a free agent on Aug. 15 when the Bruins no longer hold his rights according to Elliotte Friedman of SportsNet in Canada.

This becomes a strong possibility for any drafted player who hasn’t signed before his senior season. At that point, they gain leverage in the market as waiting adds other bidders to the process.
Other teams have been scouting Gasseau, BC’s captain, all season with this possibility in mind. The 6-foot-4, 209-pound California native had six goals and 17 assists in 23 games for BC last year.
