A recently opened Greek restaurant in Boston has been named among the best new restaurants in the world.

Kaia in the South End was included on Condé Nast Traveler's 2025 Hot List . The list features the best new dining destinations from across the globe.

"The most inexplicable magic of Kaia, Boston's newest coastal Greek hot spot, is that stepping inside invokes a kind of time travel," Condé Nast Traveler wrote of the restaurant.

"Its interiors — pale pinks balanced by stone and brick — instantly transport diners to a beach cove on the Aegean in summer," the outlet wrote. "The buzzy atmosphere of the always-packed dining room exudes two-martini Saturday-night vibes even on the most staid weekday."

But what truly sets Kaia apart are its modern Greek offerings from briny crudo mezes and cod cheeks with smoked avgolemono to whole-fish dishes dressed with lemon and wild capers.

The restaurant's drink menu— featuring its signature espresso martinis — also makes for a great dining experience.

"While Boston puzzlingly doesn't have a Michelin Guide, Kaia's cuisine aims for the stars," Condé Nast Traveler wrote.

Kaia is the latest concept from Xenia Greek Hospitality, which owns other renowned concepts Bar Vlaha, Krasi Meze & Wine, Hecate and Greco. Kaia opened last November as a visual and edible ode to Greece's Aegean Coast.

The restaurant is located at 370 Harrison Ave., Boston. Kaia is open 5-11 p.m. Sunday through Monday.
