Taco Bell Is Bringing Back a Popular Menu Item and Fans Say ‘Life Is Good’
- Taco Bell fans eagerly anticipate the return of the Cool Ranch Doritos Locos Taco, a popular menu item from the early 2010s.
Taco Bell fans "can't wait" for what's said to be coming in its latest menu update.
The fan-favorite fast food joint has delighted fans with its series of recent releases–which includes frozen Baja Dream drinks as well as Cheesy Dipping Burritos –and test items like the all-new Crispalupa and Flamin' Hot Fritos Burrito , Mexican Pizza Empanadas and brisket tacos , but now, we're hearing whispers of the return of a hugely popular entrée.
Not too long ago, the Mexican-inspired joint held its second-ever Live Más event, offering a preview into what fans can expect from the chain in the coming months and casually revealing it has big plans to re-release its famous Cool Ranch Doritos Locos Taco. (Currently, only the Nacho Cheese version is available).
"After bringing back nostalgic fan favorites last year, the brand is going to do it again with products that were on menus in the early 2000s and 2010s, including the Cool Ranch Doritos® Locos Tacos and Double Decker Taco ," the company announced.
Though it didn't mention when the menu item would be available again, fans are ready to start the countdown.
"I am SO excited that this menu item is coming back, but wouldn't it be awesome if they brought back all Doritos Locos Tacos?!" one food blogger shared , hopeful that maybe the Fiery Doritos Locos Tacos would make an appearance as a surprise release.

"Can't wait for the Cool Ranch 👏👏," a second cheered. "So excited."
"Mannnnn life was good when we had all 3 lol!!! I truly missed the cool ranch tho 😋," another added.

"I might die on this hill, but cool ranch should have stayed instead of nacho," a different Instagram user declared.
"So glad the cool ranch taco is coming back," one more shared, adding, "it was definitely my favorite even though I don't like cool ranch Doritos."
"Omg these are my all time favorite menu item!!!" someone else wrote in a Reddit thread that also called the announcement "fantastic news."
Taco Bell's Doritos Locos Tacos first launched in 2013 and features a crunchy taco shell seasoned with Doritos flavor that's "filled with seasoned beef, lettuce, and shredded cheddar cheese." It quickly became a staple, at the time of its debut, it was considered the company's "most successful" product launch in its history.
