Missing Worcester woman found dead

A 30-year-old Worcester woman was found dead Monday after being reported missing.

Joanna Brown was last seen on Friday, Oct. 31 at about 9 a.m. at the Bean Counter Bakery and Cafe on 270 Grove St., according to a spokesperson for the Worcester Police Department.

She had been reported missing by her family on Nov. 2.

An intensive missing persons investigation led Worcester police detectives to the area of 27 Mount Vernon St. in Worcester. Around 4 p.m. on Monday, detectives found the woman's body there inside a gray Mitsubishi Outlander.

The Worcester County District Attorney's Office and members of the Worcester Police Detective Bureau are continuing to investigate Brown's death. There is no danger to the public, officials said.
