PG PharmD Orientation Day for the Class of 2026

On August 30, 2024, the Gulf Medical University College of Pharmacy proudly welcomed the incoming class of the PharmD program. This prestigious event marked the beginning of an exciting academic journey for a diverse group of postgraduate students hailing from various countries and with different levels of professional experience.

The orientation was inaugurated with a warm and inspiring address by Professor Mohammed Al Shorbagy, Dean of the College of Pharmacy. He extended his heartfelt welcome to the new students and shared valuable insights into the unique aspects of the PharmD program, including its focus on advanced clinical skills and the promising career opportunities within the healthcare sector.

Following the Dean’s address, the students attended a series of presentations delivered by the esteemed faculty and staff. The orientation also covered details about the state-of-the-art campus facilities, including the on-campus Thumbay University Hospital, where much of their experiential learning would take place.

In addition to the academic overview, the program highlighted the collaborative relationships with renowned healthcare institutions such as Sheikh Khalifa Medical City, Ajman American Hospital Dubai, and Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi, offering students unparalleled opportunities for hands-on experience in clinical settings.
