Following the last time, I introduce cherry blossom attractions other than Kyoto.
This time, I introduce Tohoku area.
First, this is Kakunodate old samurai residences.
When I visited there, the green leaves of cherry trees already increased.
But the beauty was still alive and well.
The combination with black wood fence and cherry blossoms is so chic.
Just beautiful…
Hikinai-gawa riverside is another cherry attractions in Kakunodate.
Next is Hirosaki-jo Castle in Aomori Prefecture.
The cherry blossoms, Mt. Iwaki and the castle ... these are a must-see.
In addition, the moat is another highlight.
The cherry blossoms reflected on the water are very beautiful.
A dignified gate and beautiful cherry blossoms...this image seems to be usable for a historical drama.
Entrance fee
Adult : 310 yen
Children : 100 yen

Next is Kuon-ji Temple in Yamanashi Prefecture.
Kuon-ji Temple has a magnificent buddhist buildings on Mt Minobu that close to Mt Fuji.
It is the splendid place that ranked as the first or second prize in the cherry blossoms attractions where I visited in this spring.
This is Bodhi-tei stairs (287 steps, height 104m).
This is the speciality of Kuon-ji Temple.
You can climb the steep slope by the cable car nearby, but you should challenge to go up these stairs.
Surely, it will become a good memory.
When you finish going up Bodhi-tei stairs, you will be greeted by the five-story pagoda.
Most of the cherry trees in the precincts are greatly powerful.
From the precinct, you can see the beautiful scenery like the Shangri-la.
The surrounding area has many temple lodging and Tatchu temples which are covered with beautiful cherry blossoms.
You will feel like going into another world...
This is a great attraction that is hidden in a deep mountains like another world.
Not only the wide precincts, but also japanese restaurants and attractive souvenir in the temple town are substantial, so you will be able to enjoy there on a full day.
Come by all means in not only next spring but also this summer and this autumn!
