This is Kyoto colored in green... Giou-ji Temple
You can see the photo location by clicking on the image below.
(Japanese)
From this time, I will introduce summer Kyoto with the keyword "green".
This week, I introduce Giou-ji Temple which is the installation space with green representing summer Kyoto.
Green maple trees and soft and fluffy moss which grew all over the garden rule this space.
When the sunlight become weak a bit, you can experience a strange space like the whole of the precincts are wrapped in a dusky green veil.
This is Giou-ji Temple which is around 4 PM.
Personally, I think the time that this garden looks most beautiful is in the morning and this time zone.
"It looks like the world of Studio Ghibli!"... "It looks like Matcha!"... You will hear various impressions from neighbouring tourists.
It takes about 20 minutes on foot from the nearest station, but it's well worth visiting.

Although I have visited many times, I have still fresh impression to the collaboration of nature and abstraction.
Next, is Ryogen-in Temple which is a Tatchu of Daitoku-ji Temple .
(Tatchu is sub-temple on the site of the main temple.)
This temple has some small and elaborate Tsuboniwa (courtyard) which have cute greens.
Next is a very well-known tourists spot, Ryoan-ji Temple .
You can see the sophisticated green which is full of the beauty.
By the way, the vigor of the cherry tree on the side of the dry landscape garden has weakened from a few years ago.
So, if the treatment does not go well, a new cherry tree is going to be planted.
Finally, this is Taizo-in Temple which is a Tatchu of Myoshin-ji Temple.
There are some too much elaborate parts, but On-myo garden is a must-see.
From next week, I will introduce the autumn leaves information of 2016.
Please stay tuned!
