What Are Achievement, Integrity, Maturity (AIM) Programs?

The AIM program exclusively serves students (grades 7-12) who have been referred by:

• the Hearings Office.
• the School Board.
• an individualized education program team.

These students, who have been deemed a safety and security risk to other students, might otherwise have been unable to continue to work toward graduation. 

Program Overview

AIM stands for “Achievement, Integrity, and Maturity.” The AIM program is a small setting to ensure student safety. This setting also allows staff and students to build positive relationships. These relationships help students achieve success.

Achievement

• AIM staff designs instruction to meet the needs of each student.
• AIM staff promotes learning as a lifelong process.

Integrity

• Being ethical positively impacts the school and community.
• The concepts of honesty, trustworthiness, and respect are essential elements of our community.

Maturity

• Respecting oneself and others as diverse members of society leads to greater appreciation for the contributions of others.
• Honest self-reflection allows self-growth to occur.

Mission

• The Achievement, Integrity, and Maturity Program (AIM) will celebrate and appreciate each individual student by establishing healthy relationships in a caring culture, ensuring access to high-quality academic programming, post-graduate pathways and community resources, without exception.

At-Home Cultural Framework

• The At-Hope cultural framework creates an environment where all students are capable of success, no exceptions! Students explore and develop a roadmap to experience success in life’s four major destinations: home and family; education and career; community and service; hobbies and recreation.

Multi-Tiered System of Support (MTSS)

AIM uses a MTSS framework to support student outcomes through continuous data-driven decision-making. AIM provides equitable student academic opportunities and a positive school climate and promotes social-emotional wellness through a culture of shared responsibility and collaboration among staff members and families.
