The Floris Elementary School Library is a warm and welcoming space for students, teachers, and families. The library mission is to guide students in becoming critical thinkers and effective, responsible users of information while fostering a lifelong love of reading. Exploration and curiosity is encouraged through open access to a diverse collection of print and digital resources.

In the library, students learn the skills needed to locate, evaluate, and use information resources, empowering them to learn independently and with confidence.  Through collaboration with classroom teachers and specialists the library supports student achievement across the curriculum.   

Families are an important part of our library community, and parents are always welcome to volunteer in support of our programs.
